The Grove Cafe and Bar is inside the Sheraton Imperial Center in downtown Raleigh on South Salisbury Street. They serve New American style cuisine and are open for breakfast, lunch and supper. A rarity in Raleigh, the Grove Cafe accepts reservations, although they are not required, especially for small parties. For large parties, reservations are highly recommended.

I recently visited Raleigh for a business trip. I was really looking forward to staying at a cozy bed and breakfast or a larger hotel in Raleigh, but my company chose the Ramada Inn at Blue Ridge. I found the desk staff to be friendly but very slow. The amenities are typical for a low end hotel although I did appreciate the wireless internet access. The bathrooms are very industrial.
The Ramada has a pool and a basic fitness room (one treadmill) I was really disapointed with the breakfast and restaurant. The continental breakfast is basically coffee, juice and some muffins. If you want a sit down meal with your family at breakfast, be prepared to wait a long time for service (there was only one server for the entire place) and the food was absolutely flavorless. Not worth the nearly 10 bucks it cost to get scrambled eggs (runny), sausage (oily) and grits that I didn't order. I never got the fruit plate I'd ordered and at that point I didn't want it anymore.
The Ramada is close to the state fair grounds so if you're going there it's worth it for the closeness, but don't come here with high expectations.

this marriot totally outperformed. the pictures online at the booking site were pretty yawn. but the room was well appointed, great beds, a good bar and restaurant, good staff. the room was a little small but otherwise i was very happy.

We have stayed at the Homestead Studio Suites Hotel while doing our home shopping in the Triangle. We always found it to be very clean and comfortable. The rooms offer kitchenettes, refreigerators, internet access, laundry, and many other conveineces of home. The staff was always friendly and accomadating to our needs. Great prices as well!

The Holiday Inn Brownstone is a fairly nice Holiday Inn (it was only recently bought by Holdiay Inn). It's primary perk is its very close location to North Carolina State University. The service is friendly and reasonable. When I stayed there, the lights did flicker some - but I had the "experience" of staying there at the same time as participants in the Junior Miss North Carolina pagent, and it was probably the hair dryers mucking with the electricity at 7:30 AM. Great place to stay, but I'd call and ask if was also booked for any events (like the Junior Miss NC Pagent) just to make your stay more pleasant.

If your planning a trip to the raleigh area...you have to know that this hotel is in the ghetto. Hotel Europa soulds like it might be somehwre you would like to lay your head, its close to downtown, so it would be convient. Take it from a local, stay away...stay far far away.
Could potentially be a good place to stay if your looking to be involved in some illegal deadlines, or if you would like to be a witness to a crime
