If you need some adult merchandise, btu dont want to go to a skeezy local. Adam and Eve is a nice alternative. they have plenty of tasteful, and not so tasteful adult gifts sold in a well lit nice looking store. Somewhere you could go in the light of day, and get a novelty gift or something for yourself. One of the best adult stores around...for us normal folk.

Bickett Gallery aims to bring New York to Raleigh's Five Points neighborhood, and they accomplish this task flawlessly. The decor is stylish modern and stylish, and the exhibits are displayed tastefully against cool white walls. In the boutique, section, they feature artwork, jewelry, and accessories from local and nationally recognized creators. They also have a bar (wine, beer, and liquor) that's probably one of the coolest and most relaxing places to drink in Raleigh-with free wireless Internet, to boot. When you add in musical performances and the deck are in back (great for having a drink, watching a band, or both), you can see why Bickett Gallery is exactly what Glenwood Raleigh's growing art scene needs. One note: follow their advice, and don't Mapquest/Google the directions; use the ones posted on the website.

Blue Ridge 14 Cinema is located at 600 Blue Ridge Rd
in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is a very nice place to go for a night out. Movies only cost $1.50 all the time, and that is great for the budget conscious person or for the person who just wants to watch a certain movie. You do have to wait a couple of months for the movies to arrive at this theatre, but it's well worth it. It's a nice theatre, clean and neat. They do sell out on weekends, so it's best to go here during the weekday night. I like to go on Thursday nights for some reason. I recommend this place at four stars.

Blue Ridge 14 is a staple of cheap entertainment in this area of Raleigh. Having a second-run movie theater is awesome enough, but to have so many different screens is really extraordinary. With the number of selections at "the buck-fifty", as my friends affectionately call it, you can effectively just let yourself be three or four months behind on all your movies and still go to the movies *all the time*. On weekends, you may want to stop by ahead of time and buy your tickets. Notice that all the shows start in clumps at certain times - go in the off time and buy your tickets to avoid the long lines (or having to go kill 2 hours in KMart because the showings you wanted are all sold out). Parking can be quite a pain - be careful, some places nearby have been known to tow!
The only downside: no ATM cards accepted (at least without a huge fee), and expensive concessions (buy Jr. mints at KMart or Food Lion and put them in your purse).

I always get lost going to this theater.i think tahts more a personal problem than a problem with the theater, it makes me biased against it none the less. the actual theater parking is limited so i always end up parking elsewhere as well. the inside is nice, the staff plesant. they ahve 16 theaters I thin so you should get to see what you came for.

My company gives me tickets to Hockey games, which if I didn''t get them...I wouldnt make almost every game. I absoluly love going to Hurricanes games, they are always a fantastic time. The tickets areway expensive however. most "good" seats run about $50. The day of the game you can purchase nosebleeds for $10.29, whcih are still decent seats. Tailgate beforehand...beer here is $8 for a small plastic cup, so drinkin and eating inside is turbo expensive.

I went to Goodnight's about a month ago to see Chris Titus. I had so much fun. It is nice to have the option to do something different and this was it. The food was great and the show was hilarious. Just like any busy bar you might wait a little while for a drink, but that goes with the territory. I could probably get drinks a little faster if there were not so many people there, but then the atmosphere wouldn't be so energetic and fun. The seating is a little tight, but again that adds to the feel. I have been to comedy clubs in New York City and the seating is much tighter there. All around the set-up may be a little frustrating but it is part of going to a Comedy Club if I wanted space and super fast drinks I would go to a dead bar or stay home. If you want to do something new and have a blast I suggest going to Goodnight's, but be willing to go with the flow and have a great time laughing like crazy.
Pros: Atmoshpere, Affordable, Something Fun and Different
Cons: Parking and A Little Crowded
