Unless you are looking for a hard to find item and know what you need, don't bother asking them for advice. They are like tough guys that carry cameras. I just wanted some advice, some thoughts, perspectives...didn't get it. They were too busy talking shop amongst each other. They seemed offended when I mentioned a better price elsewere, instead of telling why I should buy from them(like your free cleanings). I might have made the purchase if you told me this, instead I just read about it on your website. Another thing, if you read the About US section on their web page they do not mention friendly service, customer service or small town approach, they just mention experience. Maybe that is why you lack in this area. I hope this helps.

Peace Camera is probably Raleigh's best camera shop. They have a wide selection of new and used cameras in pretty much any format (digital, SLR, rangefinder, etc.) you can think of, and row after row and case upon case of accessories (flashes, cases, tripods, films, filters). I can also say from experience that you will be hard pressed to find a camera that someone in the store isn't familiar with, and if they can't fix it or find a part for you, they can direct you to someone who can. The prices are not Wal-Mart low, but then, you're dealing with a store full of people who actually know about cameras, a trade-off I'm perfectly willing to make. Service has varied from friendly to merely politely helpful the few times I've been-like any place that sells moderately to expensively priced electronic equipment, it helps to go in looking like you've got money eager to leap out of your pocket-but there's no snobbish attitude to put off amateurs, a problem at some specialty shops.
