Another reviewer mention men burying their pocketknives outside before a game, I must say I have been one of those men. It always upsets me, because womens purses don't go through the metal detector. I know you ladies can hide some serious stuff in those things. My favorite thing to go see here is hocvkey, the hurricanes games are very entertaining. NCSU basketball plays here as well. I wouldnt reccommend this as a venue for a concert, the acoustics are horrible.

The RBC Center is a relatively new and very nice arena for college basketball, hockey, and concerts/special events. There are a few things that can make your visit much nicer - first, you can park for FREE at the fairgrounds across the street from Carter-Finely stadium. Paying $7 to park just isn't worth it to me - I gladly walk the 1/2 mile. Beware that on the third story the toilets won't flush during high usage times (halftime, intermissions, etc). Finally, be *really really careful* with the sinks - sometimes they run a little hot. And very finally - there is a metal detector going in. Leave your pocketknives at home (and be prepared to laugh at all the men who are trying to dig up mulch where they buried their pocketknives before the game when they didn't want to go back to the car).

The RBC Center hosts sporting events from NC State and the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team. Many musical groups also stop by at the RBC Center in Raleigh. I have seen Jimmy Buffett here several times and Aerosmith too. I even graduated at the RBC Center when I got my master's degree. Not a bad seat in the place!

i saw weezer here, and outside of being mobbed by a bunch of 14 yr. old kids, the place was pretty nice. it's not huge, so most of the seats in the stands are good, and the pit area is pretty large so plenty of people can be in close on the floor. the sound quality was fine. they get some decently big acts here, so definitely keep an eye out for who is coming. never went to a hurricanes game so i'm not sure what it's like for hockey.
