So a friend of mine and I were talking about getting a Dominican Blowout. I did a little research to find a salon that would do it, while doing the procedure justice. I found the Douglas C. Salon and decided to take a chance. Once there, I was greeted by whom I would soon find out was the answer to my hairs prayers. Jo Jo (Joe Mary) was attentive to all my concerns and did exactly what I asked for. Not only was I pleased with her as a hair professional, but more so was I thrilled with how light, soft and shiny ( with minimal hair products)my hair felt afterwards. Not having had a perm in 6 weeks (which is a no go for me due to my course hair) and she made my hair STRAIT was astonishing. I will be going back every 2-3 weeks for the procedure, and recommend Jo Jo to all who care about their hair. Pros: Qualified friendly professionals, warm atmosphere Cons: NONE!

I love going to douglas carroll to have ny hair done. Dena always gives a great cut and color that grows out wonderfully, allowing me more time between appointments!! I am a stay at home mom, and my time is precious. The staff is always nice and very accomidating, I have tried other salons, but always find my way back to Dena and Maribel. Thay are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to this salon with a bit of trepidation. I'm from out of state and I've been going to a salon in Durham for the last year. When I found the Douglas Carroll salon, I thought I was just going to look around. I ended up getting a 20$ coupon for first-time customers, and I used it to get my hair washed and straightened by this wonderful hairstylist named Rhonda. As an African-American, it was shocking to find a Caucasian stylist who knew how to work with black hair, but Rhonda knew how and made my hair look fabulous. And I only paid 25$! (I also got my eyebrows done 15$, the hair was 30$ and I used my 20$ coupon). The salon I went to in Durham charged me 68$ for the same thing. This salon is closer and far better priced. Pros: great atmosphere, kind people, good prices

I went to this salon for the first time yesterday since I was referred by a co-worker. I met my stylist Rhonda. She is hip, confident, and very knowledgeable. She cut my hair (since the last place I went to did not know how to do an even cut) and also gave me vibrant red highlights that pop. I received many compliments on them not only by other people, but other D.C. Stylists as well. What I love about Rhonda is she took her time. Everywhere else I've been to the stylists are always in such a rush. She was definitely a perfectionist with my hair and I will keep going back to her! Thank you Douglas Carroll for making my first visit a very welcoming one. :) Pros: Rhonda! Cons: NONE!

As a young adult my hair was always thick and full of body. Turning 30 and getting into my early 40's I have noticed my hair had thinned out tremendously. Due to the recent death of my mother, stress played a big factor in my hair falling out. Needless to say it was now even thinner than before. I decided to treat my self to Doug because I was told that he had a special gift of being able to transform someone from place A to place Z. When I sat in Dougs chair I merely thought I was going in for a new stylish cut to reshape my hair and help with my overall appearance. I had always wanted to wear long hair but due to the fact that it was thinning I knew it wasnt in the cards...Until Doug mentioned hair extensions. Not for length per say, but for creating fullness..Needless to say, I am amazed. My hair is almost shoulder length, but now instead of fine and thin, my hair is full and thick just as it was when I was in my 20's. Thanks Doug. You have a new customer in me.

She is constantly updating her certifications and training, so she knows the latest tips and techniques, as well as the best treatments. She understands and uses both the science and the art of skin and hair care. On top of all of that, she is so professional and courteous. I highly recommend both Maribel and Tabitha. I have been going to both for almost 10 years and can't imagine going anywhere else. Maribel is a true perfectionist when it comes to waxing, skin care and makeup. Getting a wax and microderm from her is so replenishing that I crave the next visit. I feel a million times better after I've been to see her and have never experienced another esthetician half as good as her. Tabitha has been doing my hair for longer than I can imagine and she definitely makes me feel like a million bucks when I leave the salon. There isn't another stylist that I can say to "just do something new and fun!" I trust her completely and she is always creative, making me feel refreshed and stylish! These are 2 reasons why I will continue to go to DC. I can't imagine every finding anyone to replace them!

Prime example of you get what you pay for. I see Maribel for microdermabrasion and eyebrow shaping/waxing. She is the best and I've tried many throughout the Triangle looking for the best "deal." I always end up going back to Maribel. She's helped get my skin in shape from acne, blackheads, melasma, etc. She seeks out new methods and products and receives training and education. She's the best! Pros: Best facial in town; Maribel's the best Cons: Pricey, but worth it
