Most amazing bead store I've ever been in, and I've been in quite a few all over the country. Dazzling selection, countless original and inspiring project ideas, affordable classes. They have tools, workspace and professionals on hand to help. They can be pricey, but well worth it for the unusual items they offer, including Green Girl pewter, sterling silver and goldfill findings and filligree, swarovski crystal beads, local artisan lampwork and clay, real stone beads in all shapes/sizes, and more. Great for gift-shopping, as they always have some lovely European soaps, trinkets and other shiny doo-dads. I have spent my birthday in this store for the past 3 years now. It is my favorite place in town!

What a fabulous store for all jewelery fanatics! The employees are very nice and helpful. I spend at least 2 hours here every visit! I have made a few bracelets and necklaces with the tiny simple beads that you can find at any store, but Ornamentea has broadened my horizons! I now have begun to make bracelets with beautiful and interesting beads and I am hooked!

Terrible customer service classes canceled with very little notice - less than 24 hours. When you go in to the store no one is willing to help - they are too busy socializing.

My cousin really likes going to this store. After seeing a piece of jewlery she had made there at Christmas I decided to give the place a little look see. Wow! they really do have tons of great looking beads, I felt like I could have made any piece of jewlery I wanted. This isn't like your typical craft store, this place is for people who are serious about making jewlery, and really nice jewelry at that. I willdefinatly be back after I make the necklace I purchase stuff for. Fun Place to go....and I never thougth I would be crafty again!

Ornamentea is a store in Glenwood South that sells beads. When you think bead store you usually think a cheezy craft store. Ornamentea actually sells high quality glass beads, expensive glass beads in some cases. This is a great place to go if you want to make a piece of custom jewelry. They have classes fairly reguarly teaching people how to make their own earrings and necklaces. The staff here is VERY helpful, and if you just stop in will often show you on the spot how to make something fantastic. This is a great store, for the trendy and the craft oriented. PROS: Tons of high quality beads CONS: Closes early (6-7) so its difficult for people with 9-5 jobs to visit

After getting cheap beads and fasteners at craft stores, we were amazed at the quality and uniqueness of the items at Ornamentea. We all shop there now, and I love taking friends in to browse as their inventory changes often.

This is the most wonderful bead store I have ever visited, and I have visited many! The selection is superb, high quality materials, even the lower priced items were great quality (not like the big-box craft stores!). And the staff were more than helpful. They even helped me repair my own necklace - now I know how to do it. I signed up for 2 classes and am very excited (a friend of mine takes classes all the time and loves them!). Highly recommended for all crafters.

I love Ornamentea for so many reasons! Staff is GREAT always willing to share and be helpful and give advice. Place is visually so cool so plan on hanging out a while and looking at every nook and cranny! I just took a class there and the instructor was really good and gave lots of info. Not just about what project we were working on but about beading and jewerly making in general. Go and enjoy!
