GREAT Store & Knowledgeable Staff 4/11/2012

After searching almost all stores in my surrounding area as well as the internet for a hitch-mounted bicycle rack, I was fortunate enough to have found Providence Bicycle on-line as well has having it recommended it to me. The store, itself, is huge with lots of inventory. What impressed me the most was that this was the only store where staff was able to answer all of my questions about each & every bike rack availalbe. Allow me to follow up by saying that this was the only store where they actually had lots of these bike racks on display. Most stores will carry only 2 differnt manufacturers and then they're not always out on display. This store just had it all and, naturally, I was wowed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. While I don't live in R.I., I am more than happy to drive to this shop and would recommend it to eveyone! Kudos to Providence Bicycle! more

Excellent bicycle shop open on Sundays 8/21/2005

Providence Cycle is a large well stocked bike shop which has skate (both in-line and ice) equipment too. Unlike many bike shops all the staff really are very knowledgeable about all aspects of cycling. From road racing to commuting they know what they’re talking about. The only drawbacks to the novice shopping here is that there may be too much pressure to buy high-end stuff that isn’t necessary. more

bicycle pros 8/17/2005

Providence Bicycle is THE place to go for anything pertaining to bicycles. The people working there really know what they're talking about. They are consistently kind and couteous, give great advice, and can do great repairs and even refurbishings. They won't try to con you into buying the most expensive bike, either. And if you are buying a bicycle, they will help you find a frame that is right for your body size. more
