I love this store! Diane, the owner is wonderful as a person and as a business owner. She takes only gently used items, and is always fair in her evaluation of consignments for her store! I have been doing business w/her for 8+ years, and Hand Me Ups since the early 90's! Thanks Diane!

The zipper fell off a jacket I bought there just the day before. I had the receipt, and all I wanted was to exchange it for another jacket, but I was told there was nothing they could do because I had not kept the price tag. I'm not sure who is in the habit of wearing clothes with the price tag on but I am not. I was flippantly told that it was a "consignment shop." Well, if I had bought the jacket without a zipper in the first place that would make sense. However, I bought the jacket thinking the zipper was intact. At any rate, I guess they are doing so well they can afford to lose a customer. There are plenty of good consignment shops in the area.

Diane, the owner, is a gem. She is very picky about the clothes she takes in so this is a great place to take all those clothes that do not fit and make a little cash. Make an appointment for the 1st visit and then once you have your number you can just drop off anytime they are open.
