I couldn't get enough of the carne asada tacos when I was pregnant - just the meat and tortilla with a little salsa was enough to fill me up and the meat was so flavorful that I didn't need anything else on it. I haven't tried it yet but I have heard great things about the diablo shrimp burrito, unlike most places, they actually get it reasonably spicy!

I tried the diablo shrimp burrito last week and it was pretty good. Lacking a little in creativity and portion size, it was still enjoyable and didn't anger the bowel gods. Slightly pricey, but average I guess for a lower volume restaurant.
Pros: Made fresh as you wait
Cons: Smaller portions and a little pricey

Went to Seattle for 2 years, came back and.............operators got greedy, jtocquitos are just like the other thousand "taco shops" in everywhere USA.
Might as well buy 3 dozen frozen from Costco.
What a shame!!!

El Patron recently opened in Scripps Ranch, and I am not quite impressed. The proportions are very large and you definitely get a good ammount of food for your money, but the flavor seems bland to me. To test if you are a real man, I suggest trying to take on the grande burro. I think it is about 1 pound of burrito madness.

This is as good Mexican food can be in Scripps Ranch. The prices are very good for the portion sizes and the food is great. A must have at El Patron is its Grande Burro which consist of chicken, beef, corn, beens, red sauce, with a bunch of other goodies all into a double wrapped piece of heaven. I dare you to finish it. The food preparation is pretty fast and your food does come warm. Personally, I prefer El patron over Chile Peppers, but I'm part of a small population that do so.
