Central Market

They have the best sushi you can find in a grocery store. No preservatives, it is fresh, no sell by date like you find at other supermarkets. Very authentic and since it is all hand made, it has personality. I have noticed a lot of grocery stores now use sushi making machines, sort of like how a fast food restaurant operates, but this sushi is all hand made by the lovely Central ladies working behind the sushi bar. Delicious, I highly recommend it. more

There are two things that I like best about this store. One is that when I can't find something I'm looking for at another store, I can almost always find it here. Second is that they are open twenty four hours. Central Market has such a huge variety of goods. They also have a pizza shop inside where you can sit and eat or order a pizza to go. The pizza is good and very well priced. This store even has specialty soaps and neat dishes. more

This store is very cool. The prices may be a little high but you won't find the same selection anywhere in Kitsap County. There is more natural and organic food choices here than anywhere else locally. There is also a ton of all natural skin care, hair care, and natural remedies as well as the usual grocery store selection of those items. Many of the food selections are available in bulk and there is a very large fresh and frozen seafood selection. There are also flowers, plants and unique gifts that are available. There is a pizza counter as well as a separate counter for espresso and teas. This is a really fun place to shop and is worth the drive if it is out of your way. I almost forgot, there are usually lots of wonderful samples available. more

Expect for the recent remodel, Central Market is a cool place to shop. They have a wide variety of organic and all natural products and foods and a huge selection of just about everything. We love the sushi and the cheap slice of pizza! You can find great deals on produce but the rest of the items seem a tad on the high priced side to me. more

What needs to be said about this local icon? The exterior invites one in to experience it. There are fresh flowers, probably some hot food, and a smiling face usually welcoming one into the store. I love the variety of fresh organic produce and their country-like signs. Another great thing is the bulk food section - it's awesome. Grains and legumes always beckon me. Plus, there's cookies, candies, flours, etc. It's great. If you need something you don't see, they'll special order it. There's a section of health oriented books and cookbooks, also. The rest of the store is reasonably priced with a 'natural' viewpoint. It's easy to maneuver in here. I know them to give local authors a chance. more

I really don't understand why people shop here. Do you really have so much money that you enjoy paying twice what you should for groceries. If you just want to waste your money, shop at Safeway, use the club card, and then give all that you saved over shopping at Central Market to me!!!! It's funny to see that grocery shopping has become a status symbol for people, I grew out of that kind of thing in High School. more

Central Market bills itself as Kitsap's only destination grocery store and it's quite right to do so. Offering a large and well-stocked bulk foods section, a wide variety of organic and hard to find produce, a good wine selection, a sushi bar, a deli, a bakery, a pizza place, a coffee shop, as well as a regular grocery store, Central Market is bound to cover your grocery needs. Try the olive oil that they sell in the back - it comes in glass jugs and is phenomenal. more

Central Market is more than just a grocery store. It has a very large selection of organic and natural foods and products. The quality of produce at the market is outstanding and the dairy products are not likely to spoil on you too quickly (they pull it a week before the sell by date). They have a good selection of Asian foods; both fresh and packaged. It is probably the best selection outside of Seattle. If you cannot find an item you are looking for at another store, they will often have it (and if not they are willing to order it for you). Prices are a little high on some things, but the quality can be worth it and overall they are competitive with other grocery stores in the area. more

Central Market has the largest selection of healthy/ organic and special dietary products around. Also large selection of ethnic foods. Must check here if you are looking for hard to find items or have special dietary needs! Very nice layout and large selection - would take all day just to see everything they offer! more
