I love stopping in this place when walking along Front Street in Poulsbo. If Thomas Kinkade is your cup of tea, this is the place. The ambience is beautiful, comfortable, and very eye appealing. The lighting on paintings really highlights the detail and beauty on art pieces. There is also a variety of items other than paintings available for purchase here. In fact, there are so many items - it's amazing. No wonder Kinkade is so well known.
I know the owners to be community involved and are great to deal with.
Prices are HIGH!!! (That's Kinkade, though). It gets a good rating for the ambience.

I was cautious , as I am an adult, about learning something new like the piano. I am glad that there is a piano instructor out there that is patient and very easy going with adults and kids a like. The times for the lessons are flexible and vary. I find that they work with our schedule. Even my husband feels comfortable

This is a standard multiplex located on Viking Way in Poulsbo. It has 10 screens and is a typical modern multiplex with the usual overpriced concessions. However, they do have a couple of unique features that make it easier for families. One thing they offer is a reusable soda cup (I think it is called a "regulator"). It is pretty large and you can get refills for only a buck! I have really gotten my money's worth on this over the past couple of years.
During the summers, they also offer free movies (rated G or PG) for kids in the mornings 2 days a week. This is a really great thing for families and makes for a great outing. And since the movie is free, you can take your small children without feeling guilty if they make noise or won't sit through the movie. And my little kids love the opportunity to do a "big kid" activity. Not to mention the fact that it is the only way to take the whole family to the movies often without blowing the budget.

This is a cool place to check out the local marine life. There are tankfuls of live ones (known as 'touch tanks'), and a whale skeleton that is really interesting and awesome to check out. The Center also offers a variety of classes.
I have found the staff knowledgeable and helpful. Of course, there is a gift shop in here that has some nice souvenirs at kind of reasonable prices.
Atmosphere is very clean and roomy. There is a nice marine salt smell to the place. I like that.

They used to be Poulsbo Music. Their woodwind sheet music assortment is not as good as I would want, but they had a nice assortment for guitar and piano. In fact, they sell pianos here. They also have instrument repair and offer lessons here. It's a nice place to check out while walking Front St.
The staff is knowledgeable about what they have and their passion for music was obvious. Alot of smiles here.

Jewel Box Theatre is located in Poulsbo, Washington near Front Street. This theatre features many different plays, musicals, poetry readings and more throughout the year. It has plays specifically for children as well. Tickets are seven dollars for children(children two years and under admitted free), fourteen dollars for adults, twelve dollars for senior citizens, students, and military .At this theatre you can also reserve the theatre to hold a party, or fundraiser for your organization or for personal use.
