This kind of theatre is GOT to be in style in these lean times. I've been going there for years. Not the best print of the film or the best screen. The seating leaves a lot to be desired.Count your blessings. Where can you see so much for so little? The Roosevelt theatre shows newer films at a cheap rate but not this cheap!

I really like this movie theater because they play movies for $2.50. They aren't the most recent movies. Although, they do play them at this theater before they come out on video. This theater has very good price on concessions. They are much cheaper than the Regal at the Galleria next door. It's because of these things that I would recommend going to this movie theater unless you absolutely need to see a movie right away. Just a word of caution, their seats are really uncomfortable and dirty. If you don't like that type of thing, you may want to go elsewhere.

This theater holds pretty recent movies that are no longer in theaters, but sometimes even when the dvd's already out, the movie's still in these theaters! But that is rarely the case. I used to come here a lot with my dad because tickets are $2! However, the floors are sticky, and the movie theater itself is not very clean, but who cares! It's inexpensive!

This movie theatre is located in Poughkeepsie at the South Hills Mall. This theatre is different than most because they show movies that just left the theatres and getting ready to be sold on DVDs and videos. It is good because if you didn't get a chance to see a movie when it first came out and at the regular movie theatre it is no available to watch, you can go to the Silver Cinemas and see it. This way you don't have to wait until it comes to video to watch it! The movie theater is definitely not the nicest but the tickets are cheaper. So if you wanted to see a movie but didn't have a chance, you can save money and go to the Silver Cinema!

The Silver Cinemas South Hills 8 features old movies such as movies about to go on DVD or already on DVD. The price for a ticket is about $4 which is okay considering a DVD to rent is around $4.50. The theaters are average. Good place to watch with your family!
