I've had about 20 lunches at Renato's over the last few years and never had a meal I considered less than excellent! Even the Pizza at this small Italian restaurant located in the heart of Potomac is exceptional. A simple dish of fettucine alfredo with a glass of red wine becomes a culinary experience. Portions are generous, prices are moderate and service is polite and efficient.
PROS: Food, Service, Decor
CONS: Dinner Prices Much Higher

Enzo, an Italian runs Renato's. This may seem a minor detail, but from the quality of the food you would think that you were in Italy. This is some of the best Italian food in all of the Washington DC area, yet despite this, it is not hugely expensive. The decor is very pretty and the waiters are friendly and are always happy to share a joke with you. It is located in Potomac Village and has a nice view out the window of the courtyard in front of the restaurant.
