When Mel's Diner turned up in our neck of the woods I was so excited. I missed out in the 50's because I lived in England and we didn't have such places. It is really cool and I love the pictures and the music. The servers really go out of their way to make you feel at home. We have been with friends and love their breakfasts. They are huge and the prices are reasonable. Mel's Diner is in front of Gulf View Mall so there is plenty of parking. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and diner. Don't forget the shakes and malts too. Really neat place and it's clean.

This restaurant is so awesome! It is really retro, and once you go in you will have a flash back! It is a fun diner with the fifties decor theme. It reminds me of a set from "Grease" or something! It is really a fun and relaxed setting. The food is delicious as well and the employee's are friendly. It may be pretty busy on the weekends , as it has gotten quite popular. So be ready for that if you plan to go in.
