Who said biscuits and gravy should be restricted to the south? Well, Mother's aint from the south but they got some banging biscuits and gravy, you just wait til u try! Salmon Hash more like Salmon YES....and it only gets better when you order a french press and its brought right to your table and the coffee tastes amazing which just adds to the whole breakfast experience...We also tried lunch here one day- I thought only my MOTHER made meatloaf sandwiches, turns out this Mother does too! And its TO DIE FOR! But hey, dont just take my word on it, try it out for yourself...word to the wise-make a reservation....or just camp out until it opens and be the first in! Either way, if you just moved here, visiting, or have been hesitant to try it out, consider this the green light you dont wanna miss out!

Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner. If you live in Portland and you haven't been to Mother's, go immediately. The food is comfort food from every imaginable cuisine, and the menu will be different every time you go. Have chicken and dumplings on one trip, and on the next one try a curry from southeast asia. These are the foods your mother used to make you, no matter where in the world you're from. The breakfast specials come highly recommended. If you happen to be there when they're serving Pumpkin Pancakes, you're in for a nearly religious breakfast experience. Be sure to make reservations on the weekends though, or be prepared to wait an hour for a table. The bar is also a great choice for a more intimate meal.

I recently visited the DragonTree for the Shakti package that included a massage and facial. While the facial was not the best (or the worst for that matter), I would completely recommend the massages/foot baths! It was amazing! I had John, who did such a great job and was very friendly and professional. He has the best hands and alternated between many different techniques. I like very deep/hard massages and he exceeded my expectations. For the facial, it just seemed quick, maybe it was just me or maybe it was because I was the last appointment for the night. She was nice, but I did feel like I had a little "lecture" about sunscreen and the types of products I use to wash my face, as if I was at a dermatologist appointment. I will, without a doubt, be back for another massage and many other treatments-the space is amazing and the staff was all very welcoming.

This is one of my Portland favorites. The food is excellent and the drinks are great too. The service has always been exceptional as well. If you're willing to spend a little bit more than the average on dinner, then this place will not disappoint.

Where does a professional waxer go to be waxed??? Good question right? Why would I pay full price when I could have one of my esty friends do it for trade? Because these girls have it going on! Great space, very professional, excellent waxing experience! I am very happy I started going to Urban Waxx...the best in PDX hands down...(I'll reserve "best of Vancouver" for myself)
