I love this new Zupan's: it's big, bright, and oh-so-clean. The bakery department is to die for, but don't walk by unless you plan on buying something (or a bunch of somethings); it's just too tempting. Most of the stuff there is imported from the best bakeries in Portland, so there's an enormous selection of just about everything. The deli is more than adequate, too; lunch here is easy, healthy, and quick. There are about eight varieties of homemade soup daily, which are all delicious. They have an excellent olive bar, a fantastic variety of cheeses, and more wine and beer than any grocery store in the area. In addition to truly gourmet items ($105 olive oil, $40 tea, $15 spices you'll use for one dish and never again), you can also find Coke and M&M's--you know, typical grocery store food. Save money by doing normal, everyday shopping elsewhere, but stop in for lunch and buy your meat and more exotic items here.

More
Zupan's is probably not where you'll do all of your regular grocery shopping, unless you live in one of those spendy lofts and are committed to downtown living with style. But for the rest of us, Zupan's is a delightful indulgence, the place to supplement your regular boring meals with the freshest produce, the loveliest flowers, the tastiest appetizers, or the most delicious meats. Spend a few dollars at the olive bar, at the pastry counter, at the cheese selection, or in the wine area, and you'll know you have a taste of the quality that makes dining worthwhile.
Zupan's has a very helpful staff, and their late hours make it easy to shop at their locations. Their commitment to quality is second to none, and it's a pleasure just to cruise the aisles to see what treats are in store. Zupan's may not be the best place for everyday shopping, but it's definitely the right place to add a little zest to your everyday life.

This is one of those uptown shops that says it is a home and garden store but there is nothing that even remotely resembles a garden item. There are gift items and a lot of high priced candles, I guess that is the home part. of home and garden. This is a less is more store where you have to wonder how they stay in business with so little inventory. Maybe they had outdoor candles?

Last winter during the East winds my backyard fence blew down. I had heard about Zochert Fence Company, and that they carried Master-Halco's patented PostMaster steel post for wood fencing.
So I gave them a call and they came out the same day to survey my damage and give me an estimate.
The staff is professional and prices are very reasonable.
It only took them a few days to complete my new fence. Not only did I get a wood fence but the security in knowing that it will not be blowing over again any time soon due to the wonderful steel posts.
I am so happy with the work done and the knowledge that my new fence will not be blowing down again for years to come.

From the moment I walk in that store, everything else falls away, because Sarah is dedicated to her clients. The moment you sit in her chair, she gives you her best. She's been at it just under a year, and honestly I wouldn't know it by how well the end results are. She is extremely attentive and friendly and I have never walked away disappointed from her work. I like to give my support to new people when trying out a new salon when I have moved someplace, and she is worth every penny because you get zero attitude and is someone you can collaborate with and will work to make her clients satisfied. She is type of stylist that is the reason why in the beauty industry you become loyal. I trust her judgement completely and her confidence doesn't come across as arrogance.
Before she and I decide that my hair is "done" not only do we look at it from all possible angles, but try out a few different possible techniques in styling before adding a final finishing product. She wants you to be happy, and every time I have left happy, and relaxed.
Go girl!
Pros: An extremely sweet, friendly stylist.

This is a cozy little restaurant that is not fussy but has an air of relaxation. The server was able to recommend some great Sake and it was fabulous!! The sushi was some of the best I have ever tasted. The sushi chef the night we were there used some local ingredients to make it her own. Will return there often.
Pros: attentive server, knows her Sake
Cons: we were there late and some food had run out
