I love British Airways. They do everything so right, from their flight attendants with British or Irish accents, to the (good) free wine onboard, to the little packet of fun (eyeshade, toothpaste, socks, more)you get whenever you travel with them. The staff is so friendly and helpful on every phone call and plane I've been on. It's like they live to serve and their lives wouldn't be complete without me and my needs. Their frequent flier program is the best. I fly them whenever I can, especially internationally.

It's a wonderful school and has a very high percentage-- almost 100 percent-- of the students attending a four year college. It is ethnically diverse and the teachers are caring and wonderful. They have a lot of outside activities such as sports and clubs and service projects. I believe that it's the only all girls high school left in the state and it offers a very different environment than most schools. Most students love going there. It's located downtown and offers a very different campus environment.

I purchased my 2001 Dodge Stratus through AMS and had a great experience. I have had many other car purchase experiences, most of which were bad. They were easy to work with, handled the negotiating between me and the credit union that owned the car, and were not pushy. You cannot even call them a dealer as they are mainly a broker. Later, I used them to sell a vehicle and it was another great experience.

If you are planning a wedding or other special event, be sure to check out the Old Church in downtown. Absolutely gorgeous inside and out, it has a nice lobby area and open great room. As a historic building it possesses incredible charm and ambiance. Acoustic music radiates off the old wood walls and floor. The high ceilings and windows are truly heavenly. I highly recommend it.

After watching the movie Shinning, I had to visit the Timberline Lodge for myself. My first thought was… where was the maze? Well, the only part of the Lodge that was used in the movie was the outside picture, but whether you have seen Jack Nicholson’s famous film or not, this is truly an amazing place to visit. Perfect in winter or summer as the beauty is not lost in the seasons.
Enjoy the feel of the old growth lumber and historic atmosphere inside and the breathtaking view of the mountain outside. Bring a camera and spend the day (or night if you are lucky!)

This is a perfect place to go for dessert after going to a show. I love that they are open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. They feature both pastries and gelato ice cream. The portions are small but the ingredients are so rich, you really don’t need more. The atmosphere is festive and comfortable.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I love this bank!! They have the greatest customer service, loan officers, and office personnel. I have gotten the best auto loan rates on the last 4 vehicles through Oregon Telco. No other bank could come close! Plus, I love the fact that they try to do everything online or over the phone...(paperless). They make a GREAT banking experience every time!! On the downside the original Portland branch could use some updating parking, but the brand new Salem branch is outstanding and makes up for it with their beautiful new building and great location! And now they've changed the rules to where anyone is the surrounding counties can become a member! They also have great bonus' like scholarship giveaways and fun promotions too!

There's staples that we all need...food, toilet paper, cold medicine....and this store has it all!
This liquidators has been around for over 20 years. The original owner sold it to his loyal employees few years back when he retired and it just goes to show you that some things DO get better with age!
Coffee is one of the specialities of the food section here. Gourmet coffee and brand name coffee coffee that is fresh and ready to serve to your future mother in law can be found here. There ususally TWO rows of coffee here.
The owners have a conscious when it comes to social justice here too. I participated in this year's annual Chili Cook-off that raises money for the Oregon Food bank.
The other thing this place offers that no other liquidators offers in such quality is AFFORDABLE quality tools and hardware...think Ace Hardware at less than half the price for plumbing, nuts, bolts, paint supplies...you name it!
This place is a real gem. I've been shopping here for 20 years and I hope to be shopping here for 20 more.

I used to have AAA when I was younger and still lived in OR. My mom bought it for me as a gift the first year and I think I renewed my service with them for about 7 years until circumstances changed. I would now love to rejoin because they were always so great! And I would know cause I used them soooo many times! Flat tire, locked my keys in my car, key wont turn in the ignition, brakes went out, locked my keys in the car, needed traveling info, locked my keys in the car, car won't start, need a tow, another flat and again, locked my keys in the car...you get the picture! Everytime I called they were polite, helpful, reassuring and responded very quickly.
Plus, I didn't even begin to mention all the benefits you receive within your local community for being a member, discounts on admissions, insurance, hotel bookings, etc. There are so many places that, even though they don't advertise they give huge discounts for being a member of AAA.
If given the opportunity again, I would definitely sign up for their service! AAA has gotten me out of a lot of tight spots and for that I am so grateful - I don't think you can really go wrong with them!!
