I have been a huge fan of Imelda's for a number of years (from before they moved to their new location directly on Hawthorne), and have consistently depended on Imelda's for my cute-shoe needs.
In the new location, which is quite a bit larger, I have also found that they have a much expanded selection of interesting and fun handbags (in addition to many more shoes!).
If you are looking for something fun or funky, I recommend a look at what Imelda's has to offer.

Nice shoes, but here's why I stopped shopping here: Staff, including someone who appears to be the owner or manager, follow you around as if they expect you to steal things. Stock is all out on the floor, but you're not allowed to touch it. (Saving rent on storage space, I guess, but it's not reflected in the prices.) When I needed a size they were out of (size, not model, mind you), getting it would have meant a "special order" with an extra special order fee and shipping cost, even though this was a regularly stocked shoe. Take your business to another store; there are plenty of good ones in Portland.
