The furniture once carefully cared for and private is jumbled, showing signs of wear, and is no longer as enticing to long conversations over steaming milk...rather a quick cup of house coffee, a glace at the Willamette Week and out the door is more likely.

If you are looking for a place to get coffee in Portland that is not overcrowded and and good beverages than Coffee Romance is the place to go. My favorite part about this coffee shop is that it is a non-snobby coffee restaurant. All of the seating is comfy couches and chairs with coffee tables. It feels like home and you can stay as long as you like. There is no time limit on how long you can sit in one of their comfy chairs. In other words, it's no Starbucks.
