I wanted to spoil my sister with a wonderful baby gift after her first daughter was born, so I went to Janey and Jack. I have 3 boys, and have always known that I would have gone crazy buying girl clothes had I had a daughter. So, Janie and Jack was like a candy store of little girl clothes for me.
If it weren't for my 3 energetic boys playing hide and seek in the racks, and the nervous, irritated looks from the salesperson, I would have stayed much longer and looked and bought.
As it was, I purchased a darling little sun dress with "bloomers" (which is really a fancy name for the thing that covers the diaper that looks like rufflely underpants), and a matching hat for $54. YIKES!
I was so tempted to get the darling little white sandals, size 0 which I'm sure would have lasted 1 month, for $28, but honestly, I try to get MY shoes for around $30, and I wear them for several years.
I think Janie and Jack has the most adorable clothes for kids, but unless you've got a money tree in the back yard, leave the shopping for special occasions or gifts.
