And yet another great YMCA! This two story fitness emporium is amazing. They have everything under the sun! On the bottom floor you'll find a large section of up to date cardio equipment including treadmills, elliptical machines and stair steppers. They have a huge room of free weights mixed with a variety of the latest strength training machines. The gym also has a full sized basketball court, and indoor track, and multiple racquetball rooms. The staff here are so friendly. Some of them are weight training instructors, some of them teach classes. They have a staff of massage therapist on hand to offer members expert muscle relief. This YMCA also has huge, fully serviced locker rooms with an attached sauna and steam room. Their pool is decent sized but last time I went their open swim hours were a little hard to access.
One of my favorite things about this YMCA is that they work hand in hand with other non-profit agencies around Portland that serve at-risk youth, drug addicts, both youth and adult, the homeless and the less fortunate. They provide free and very discount membership rates for many of these organizations, allowing those who otherwise wouldn't have access, the ability to use the gym and learn some health coping skills and hobbies. They really make an effort to serve the community!

This is a beautiful museum that educates about the of forests. They even have a display of an old wood fueled log hauling train that was once used to transport logs. There is associated tree farms and a tram ride as well as a raft ride. A visit to this place makes for a fun afternoon.

More
Willamette Jetboat Excursions offer a fun and unique way to tour the Willamette River. Boat rides start just north of OMSI, and last one or two hours. Boat pilots are very knowledgeable about the Willamette sites, history and nature and make tours interesting and informative. No jet boat ride would be complete without a few splashy maneuvers, and if the weather is warm, your captain will see that you return to the dock a little damp from river spray.
Even on sunny days the ride can be chilly when the boat the speed reaches 30-40 mph; I recommend packing a light jacket and sunscreen. This is a fun and relaxing way to glimpse the city from a fresh perspective. A 2-hour adult ticket runs $29; children age 4-11 ride for $19 and those 3 and ride for are free.
Tours operate April to October. Reservations are recommended for both the 1-hour and 2-hour tours.

This bingo place is the newest one around that I know of, and it's my favorite. The inside is incredibly nice with carpet and clean tables ect. The employees are so nice and actually take the time to get to know you. The food is pretty good and the lines are not too long during breaks. The location is great. There is a lot of parking and the parking lot seems safe. This was also the first place to have the electronic computer game cards. They were kinda hard to figure out in the beginning but once you get used to it, it's easy.

For the avid modeler, I highly recommend Vic's. the atmosphere is wonderful, and the pace is relaxed. the depth of experience, and knowledge of the people working there is unsurpassed. this is a true hobby shop. they have a passion for the hobby, and will always take care of any problem you might have, and can get anything you want. It is true in some cases you can get things cheaper elsewhere, but my hobby isn't a bottom- line driven shopping contest. I am in this for the sheer enjoyment of messing about with trains, and I will gladly pay a small premium to be in the company of like-minded enthusiasts. If this describes you as well, then go to Vic's and wander around and look at all the amazing stuff. I think you will truly enjoy it.

Went there to check out their scooters and man do they have a cool shop! You walk in and you're amazed with a sea of scooters! The most I've ever seen in one place. Dudes were cool there and really knew what they were talking about. They were obviously riders themselves and were able to fit me up just with the right scooter for my needs. Overall it was a great experience.
Pros: Has to be one of the largest scooter stores in the entire US
Cons: Lots to choose from

This place was great. We planned to be shopping all day for snowboarding gear and we got it all done in one hour at US Outdoor Store, with the help of the friendly and helpful staff of course. I can't wait to go back when I have more money to spend!

I just love the warm decor of this place. It's the kind of place where you can really settle in to escape the gloominess of a gray rainy day. There are booths and tables and a long wooden bar on the first floor. They have a great spiral staircase that leads to upstairs pool tables. The food is good and the customers all seem pleased.
