I had been wanting to have a certain tatoo done for several years, and finally pulled the trigger. I walked in, a total virgin, and met with Amy to ask her advice/ideas on the design. She professionally answered my questions, and suggested changes to the design to ensure the end result was something that I would like, and would last! I felt very comfortable the whole time. The atmosphere is easy going and non-intimidating, even for a novice. I made an appointment for the next day, to have it done. When I returned, Amy presented 3 designs - one an exact replica of the original; one modified version of the original, based on our discussion from the day before; and one that was her own modification. Her design was by far the best, and it was a no brainer to go with that one. The end result was phenomenal; better than I had hoped for. Needless to say, I would recomend Amy to anyone.

I am somewhere between low maintenance and no maintenance with my hair and Rebecca was the first stylist to listen to me when I said that I needed a simple, easy to maintain hair style. She does a great job with my cut and color and I simply towel-dry my hair and add some gel to handle the frizz - no drying, no styling and no stress!

Trish Warren has been cutting my hair for many years. Her curly hair skills came highly recommended, and I have always left my appointments with her wowed and reinvigorated. She listens well and works with you to achieve the cut you're leaning towards--though if you're wavering, she's also the rare sort of stylist you can say "just do something great!" and trust that you'll be thoroughly beautified when she's through. I lived out of the country for a few years recently and missed her cuts! Glad to be back!

I was somewhat shocked that this was a service now offerred. I thought, "What will they think of next?" So, of course, I had to give it a shot. Who doesn't want great eyelashes, right?
I have to say, at first, I thought it was a bit crazy having eyelashes applied for over an hour. I went through with it, and I'm really glad I did. They really make my eyes show up and my face light up, and they look better than anything I've ever tried before (and trust me, I've tried a lot- false strips, false individuals, tinting, perming, every mascara out there, etc.).
I think it has all been 100% completely worth it. I am very happy with these, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I've had many professional massages, from five-star hotels to being in someones living room, and I wanted to introduce my unititiated boyfriend to this fabulous escape. So I did my research and decided to trust the reviews of Aqua Terra Massage. We had our hour-long couples massage in January 2009 and it was the best massage I've ever had and my boyfriend loved it. The space is comfortable and you can tell that everything is centered around you being relaxed and enjoying the experience.
While I get massages to relax, I hope to come out of the experience feeling better both mentally and physically. I loved that Erik (Faye was doing my boyfriends massage and he shared similar stories) noticed points of tension and instead of just passing over them, really worked those spots - making the experience a bit more intense and much more rewarding. They focused on our conscious and unconscious wants and needs....that may sound silly, but I think a good masseuse will pay attention to how the body reacts and know more of what we need that we often know ourselves.
To conclude: This couple is worth every penny and I will be going back. With or without my boyfriend!

I've been having Carrie style my hair for years now, and I think she is the best colorist/stylist in Portland. She has an amazing talent. I started going grey in high school and she comes up with the most amazing blends. I love my darker style, but recently she started blending in lighter colors to help with the over-populated grey!!!!. I've gotten so many compliments and I can actually go longer now between colors. I live in Santa Barbara now, but make time for trips to Portland just for her. Your Lucky Portland To Have Her

I'm usually not too picky about my haircuts, but once you get a real haircut from one of these highly trained stylists you never go back. Alex is the best stylist I've ever used and drive from Bend to get my haircuts there exclusively.
You will be welcomed and have your coat taken properly and given the whole Aveda experience.
