This venue is absolutely fabulous. It has 'good time' written all over it. They serve Pizzacato Pizza (some of the best Pizza in Portland), and beer of all sorts. $10 gets you a slice of pizza, a beer, and a movie ticket. So be prepared to bring some friends and have a good time. They show a good variety of movies here from recent releases, to old cult classics, so watch the website for movie times and changes to the schedule! Have a good time!

Seems like they have combined all the good things in one place that you want to enjoy when having a night with family or friends. I meet my friends there and we have a great time. It is so relaxing and you can see what you want for a much lower price plus you can eat and drink a brew also. I like the options the it provides as compared to the first run movie theatres. Go and have some fun!
PROS: Can eat, drink and be merry plus watch a good flick
CONS: None

This is a great place to see more independent, art, and slightly older films. They have a number of festivals during the summer and serve pizza & beer that can be consumed during the flick. (Because of the alcohol, and the fact that they're not a restaurant, as defined by the OLCC, under 21s are forbidden after 4:00 PM.) If you can't find a specific movie in any other theatre, there's a decent chance it'll be at the Laurelhurst.

The screen size here is smaller than a first-run movie theater, naturally, but that's not too important for most pictures. What's really great about the Laurelhurst is the neighborly atmosphere, and the prices -- as a theater-pub, it sells refreshments for casual cafe prices. Tickets cost $3, and you can get pizza, beer, tea and I believe coffee as well as the usual set of movie snacks.
The only disadvantage to the place is that as a pub without a full restaurant, it won't let you in for late afternoon-evening showings if you're under 21.

For 10 bucks you can see a show, have a slice of pizza, and drink a beer. You can't beat it. It's worth waiting a few weeks for a new release to get there, in my opinion.
