We had a phenomenal 10 person dinner and it was unbelievably fun with great food and, as always, great people at Park Kitchen. The pork: unreal. The lamb chops: great. The flank steak salad: as typical, on point. The bld orange salad: crisp, clean and refreshing. Oh, and how was the Sticky Date Pudding? Ridiculously good, maybe the best dessert I've had.
I never post on sites like this, but I wanted to give credit where credit is due.
Park Kitchen is a first class place with an easy-going atmosphere. With the great people and the seasonal menu changes, we always keep it on the top of our list.
Pros: Great Location, Great People, Great Food
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

I love this cute little store. The staff greets me, then leaves me alone until I need something. In Good Taste may not have quite as vast a selection as Sur La Table (I shop at Sur La Table also), but their prices are much more reasonable. The same tiny Epicurean cutting board that I saw at Sur La Table for $13.95 was $9.95 at In Good Taste. Seriously, a $4 mark up at Sur La Table. They also have biodegradable bags. So, go to In Good Taste first. If you don't find what you need, go down a few blocks to Sur La Table.
Pros: Not corporate, better prices, environmentally friendly, good selection, helpful (but not annoying) staff
Cons: If you're looking for something VERY specific, you might not find EXACTLY what you need?

My wife and I have been shopping at Portland Nursery for several years and they usually have an amazing, if somewhat overwhelming, selection of plants and trees, many of which I've never even heard of before seeing it there. But the people who work there are very helpful in providing information about to grow them. The information desk has also answered questions for me over the phone.
They have been helpful to us when we don't know what plant to stick in a particular section of our yard. After describing the conditions, we are usually walked around the nursery and shown a bunch of different options. This is very helpful because it's a pretty big place.
I also like that I can usually find smaller sized versions of bigger plants to save money.
I recommend it. We enjoy going there even if all we do is look around.

Standard TV & Appliance on 82nd offers an incredible assortment and informative salespeople. Our trip was to purchase a refrigerator and we were completely in the dark of what to buy. The type of naïve customers… just waiting to be taken advantage of… but they didn’t jump on it! The salesman gave us honest advice and listened to our needs. Helping us to find the perfect appliance at a price within our budget.

wonderful new store. i havr never seen so many appliances set up and operating. they had chefs cooking and lots of samples while we shopped. we went in on a saturday so it was busy, but our salesman gave us enough time along with helping other people to make a good decision. we never felt pressured which was so nice compared to the other places we went, which were either very high pressure or ignored us completely. our salesman, ernie, narrowed all our choices down in a logical manner after asking many questions. this was better than trying to decide which of thousands of products were right for us. i will be back when i need more
Pros: choices,samples,knowledgeable salesman
Cons: almost too many choices

After shopping @ Lady Di's in Lake Oswego and seeing their ridiculous prices on British goods, I had to search elsewhere to get my fix! I found it here and am very grateful for the price tag! We can get McVitties, PG Tips and Crunchy's and not break the bank!
Thanks a bunch!
Pros: They carry British food goods at an affordable price!
Cons: Parking

This place is fabulose for thoes hard to find fabrics and other crafty things. People are are really nice and helpful. They really do have everything you need. One time I was looking for some fabric for a shirt I was making. I hit all the local fabric shops not finding anything I liked, and then someone told me about Mills End. I checked it out and they had exactly what I was looking for.

I've taken my three cats to Southgate many times over the past 14 years. They offer great care with no guilt if you can't afford heroic treatment. Prices are competitive, reasonable.
Recently they helped us above and beyond the call of duty when we had to put down one of our geriatric kitties.
They also offers some later hours for workday convenience

We've gone to Burlington Coat Factory many times to buy clothes for our kids and have never had anything but wonderful experiences. We went here to get baby clothes before my youngest son was born and got so many cute outfits for next to nothing. We also did our school clothes shopping here for my kindergarten and 2nd grade kids and they loved the selection. We loved that we could get quality outfits without spending a fortune. The dressing rooms area a good size for an adult and a child to fit comfortably. They also have a great selection of adult clothes and baby products. They also have a great selection of coats. My husband got a great one for around $25.00 a few years back that he still wears and it's still in great condition.
