I have special needs eyes so I have to be careful to have a very experienced optometrist. I have been going here for many years and it was recently purchased by a young Doctor. Even though I loved the Dr. Pike, the new Dr. Paul Stasik OD is a wonderful and caring doctor with great bedside manner. I would recommend them very highly. I don't know if they are competitive in pricing but I have left them once before and came back very quickly because you can't put a price on a good Dr.

Even Portland doesn't look great when you've fallen down and injured your back and leg. I hurt.
A local friend recommended that I try acupuncture with Constance Rigney.
I was afraid, but Constance is a great person and the needles are tiny, not at all what I had imagined.
1 treatment and I was much much better and having a great time in Portland.
2 treatments and I was fine again.
Constance Rigney has great hands, is very gentle, and is a very nice person. She saved my trip.
Pros: Treatment, service, value, the whole ball of wax

We have been met with nothing here at the Parry Center. They have a very qualified staff that have been college that work with the children. Our son is provided with three meals a day, and he get snacks if he is on a high enough level depending on his attitude and the way he handles situations. He has his own room. He likes the staff.
He loves that they have a program that is hands on working with horticulture. He has his own garden there and loves to show us each time he is there.
He is able to go outside with staff and ride his riptide if he maintains a level of trust. They also have bikes there and a gym that he loves to go shoot hoops as he likes to say.
They have a very good staff from doctors to counselors. We have weekly communication with the counselor, and the doctor calls when they feel they need to change meds to get permission. The staff calls if there are any worries about our son and let us know in a reasonable amount of time if there is ever an emergency or issue with our son. This is his fourth time to be in a facility and this by far is the best that we have seen. We know that if anything was happening, or our son felt abused he would let us know and there is nothing like that there.
It is so hard to be away from our loved one in the first place, yet as parents we need to go outside of the box and do what is best for our child. I am confident in his treatment there and them taking care of him if I am not able to at this time. I would love to have my son home with me. Until that can happen, I know that he is in nurturing hands of people that do care. He is learning life skills there that we see great strides in. We also think that while his meds are regulated, it is the safest place for him.
I would recommend this facility to anyone with similar needs to what my son has.

Cons: Office hours are hard when you live out of town to get there on time. Very nice in office to though.

I have been a patient of Dr. Harrington's for over a year because of low back pain and misalignment (recurring "kink" feeling that you can't resolve from stretching and yoga alone). Not only does she provide relieving adjustments, but also therapeutic massage and helpful tips for exercises you can do on your own. I would recommend her to anyone with back problems. My friend recommended her office to me! I like her a lot more than previous Chiropractic doctor's I've seen for an auto collision injury, because of her total holistic approach. She focuses on a solution and healing you, rather than talking about what is wrong with you.

After my accident, was in such pain! Headaches, shoulder pain and my neck felt like it was locked in place. Was referred to Dr. Richard Crokin, and while I was not expecting miracles, felt like I got one!!
He seemed to genuinely care about my situation, and was just so terrific in not just easing my symptoms -- which he did -- but in helping me move on in a healthier way. I can honestly say I feel better now than I did before my accident. Everyone at the office is caring, concerned, upbeat and professional. Recommend to all who want to feel better.
