Even if you don't do the majority of your shopping at Winco (and you should) at least check out the bulkfood section. Because you aren't paying for all the packaging and advertising of brand names you can save a ton of money on items like popcorn, raisins, nuts, and most of all spices. I have been shopping at different Winco's for years and wouldn't do most of my shopping anywhere else. I prefer the Hwy 99 location after a bird on the produce incident at the Winco on Fourth Plain and Andresen. I would also try not to shop on the first weekend of the month because the store can be really crowded. They now accept debit cards and they also accept manufacturers coupons. On the way out with your cart full of groceries (for 1/2 as much at other stores) be sure to get a slice of yummy pizza. Its a large slice and includes a drink.

I have to admit, WinCo is not my first choice of places to shop. However, when it comes to saving money or buying bulk food items (nuts, special ingredients for recipes, etc), it's a winner! The other day I needed several ingredients for some cookies--- walnuts, coconuts, etc. I went to WinCo so I could get a small amount and hopefully save some money. The prices there were less than 1/2 as much as at the grocery store, and I was able to get exactly how much I needed for the recipe! There selection of bulk foods is quite amazing! All kinds of nuts, cereals, spices, and like I said, special ingredients--- sweetened coconut, turbinado sugar, etc! it's slightly awe-inspring, actually! I always end up spending 1/2 hour just wandering around gawking at their selection! There other grocery items are all slightly less than your average grocer, as well. But the real bargain is in the bulk!

If you said yes, shop here! Their prices beat any other grocery store hands down. They also have a GREAT bulk section! Yoc can get everything from candy to cereal to pasta!! If you use spices check out the bluk spices! You get FRESH spices for pennies on the dollar compaired to the jarred ones! Theb ulk is always changing so the spices are fresher then anything you get in a jar! This is NOT a prett store. the go light on the decor to keep the prices down.
