For those of us who live in the city area of Multnomah County it is nice to get a taste of our neighborhood roots. As the region has changed dramatically over the years, so has the fair. At one time, most of the greater Portland scene was all farmland. That is lost and the fair reflects it, but it still serves an important role in helping us all appreciate the rural side of our home. There is always a nice assortment of animals and farming information. I particularly recommend taking the city kids there so they can appreciate the history of our beautiful county.
