This is an established French organization. They are located near PGE park in a historical building.They basically teach all levels of French language and have some interesting events. They teach toddlers as well as adults. They have organized lectures, dinners, and other events. Some of the events are in English. They have a weekend immersion class just for travelers. You must call for prices or join. If you join you will get emails for the events and a newsletter. The membership fee is not very much around $35 yearly. They put on the Bastille day long event. You should not miss that. Its lots of fun and you may win a raffle drawing trip to France like I did last year!!!! A bientôt

Artichoke music caters to the folk industry. They carry fine acoustic instruments and are very knowledgeable. They have a many types of lessons to offer and are fine teachers. There is a stage and back room where bands and individuals perform. Most of these require purchased tickets which can be bought at the store. I would highly recommend Artichoke Music if this is your type of venue.

I have gone here for the student clinic, and let me tell you. What a deal!!! For $25 you can get an hour long body message from a trained student (under supervision), it's such a great deal. Other places charge more than $70 for this same service. The last time I went I was competely impressed with the message I received. Check it out if you are looking for an inexpensive back rub!

I had a fabulous weave and it only cost $49.00. I have paid $150 in a salon and didn't like it as much. The teachers were great and the students were very professional. I thought i was in a high end salon because it was spotless.

Central Catholic is more than just a Catholic High School; it offers an excellent well-rounded education. While so many of the public schools are dropping all the extra curricular activities, not at Central. They have incredible sport, arts, club and activities to offer each student. There have been many updates over the last couple of years particularly in the science and technology classrooms, plus a brand new library and sports field out back.
A school very involved in the community at every level, which gives children more than just a classroom education.

Although it was not my local branch, this downtown branch of the Multnomah County library system is what I think of when I think of the Portland library system. The building is an architectural gem and houses an amazing collection of books.
There is so much room to move around, browse, take items to tables to peruse and the new computer system and organized layout makes it all very easy to find what you need.
I enjoy taking my kids there as I remember going there as a child and being in awe of its size.
