This is a great teacher and lots of fun to work with. I am really enjoying playing and learning new pieces. His approach to teaching piano is refreshing. I am learning to read music, play by ear, and even do blues improv. I look forward to lessons each week. Even those weeks where I haven't practiced much is no problem; We do something new, like theory, learning chords etc. I wish I have started lessons years ago and hadn't waited, but now that I have, I am really glad I did. My kids are so excited about piano lessons. They love playing the piano. We are very happy with their teacher. He makes the lessons challenging and fun at the same time. They get to learn to read music, play by ear, learn theory, compose music, make CD recordings. Lots of fun stuff to keep them engaged. We are very happy with their progress. Music education is important to a child's development. Numerous studies show that playing piano improves children's overall performance in school. We have already seen this. I want my kids to have the best education they can.

Wonderful teacher for my kids. Experienced, patient teacher. Fun lessons. My daughter has been doing lessons here for over a year. She enjoys the lessons and is fascinated with learning to read music, theory, chords, melodies, composing music. She gets lots of encouragement, and feels proud with what she is has accomplished. We spent quite a while interviewing potential teachers. We found that this teacher had the experience, patience, wide curriculum, and sense of humor that was a perfect match for us. We couldn't have found a better teacher in Portland.

My 7 year old daughter, recently started piano lessons here. She gets to work on reading music, playing by ear, improvisation, recording music, all sorts of fun things that keep her interested. Her teacher is just super. He does a terrific job encouraging her, and rewarding her with praise. The lessons are a wonderful thing for her to do. I can see how proud she is about playing piano. This is a great thing for her personally. She practices more than I ever expected. It's such a pleasure to listen to her play. I play flute, and we have been doing some duets. What a warm feeling I get when we play music together. We are very happy with the piano lessons.

My son is learning quickly with his teacher. He really loves taking lessons. As a complete beginner, he has quickly learned to play and has accomplished a lot. His teacher is very patient, experienced, and explains things well. My son gets lots of encouragement, and consequently, works hard because he is motivated to learn by his teacher. My son is now playing all kinds of music, classical, blues, pop and even gets to compose his own pieces and record them. I am so happy with his piano lessons.
