Folks, Im a tough customer. I review things/people/companies all the time and dont give them an inch if not deserved. I had a hit and run to my truck. My insurance company recommended Artistic. I listened to some radio ads from a competitor and heard them say 'Its the aw--you can take it wherever you want. Yes we are expensive but we do the best work'. So I did. The main job wasnt bad but Ive had to take it back several times. At one point the door glass fell out. They said it wasnt their fault. Actually, it was, but they went back to my insurance company to ask for the extra money to do it. After a few weeks my insurance company agreed and they repaired it. Later, I saw the bills for everything they had done. IT WAS OUTRAGEOUS! They ripped the ins company off. They charged about $1800 to re seat the window glass! I called the ins company and they said they couldnt do anything but thats why premiums are so high. Several weeks ago another of my cars had a body problem, not related to accidents. I went there again thinking maybe they would do it at a discount because of the enormous total amount they made on my repair before---about 9,000 total to replace a door and repaint it and a fender.
I was told it needed several parts and would be $500 to $600. I passed by Artistic on the way home and dropped in for kicks. They showed me that the other place was mistaken! It wasnt those parts, though Im sure they would have taken in my car, started on it then come back and hit me for zillions more once the car was torn apart. Artistic found (and showed me) the real problem which actually was more severe. Now the kicker...their fee for fixing the much more severe problem was hundreds less than the other place! And, they even showed me how to part of it myself to save more. All the while very friendly and helpful. I hope I never need a body shop again but if I do, Artistic is the only place I'll go. Im a local business man. Have no ties to Artistic or their people.
