It is always our policy to accept responsibility for any clients dissatisfaction. 77 prides itself on its customer service. We believe that Citysearch is a great thing to have, so that people can express both the good and the bad. There was a feature on NPR recently about how businesses are being attacked on sites like this. The example they sited was a wedding dress place that had a lot of positive reviews and then more recently a lot of negative reviews. They found out most were from the same computer. The clues are extreme opposite reviews (lots of 5 star and lots of 1 star), a similar style of writing, similar words, lots of reviews submitted the same day, etc. Seems to be whats going on here. 77 does not pay for this site and we DO NOT agree with the ethics of this site or any other site in which they provide a platform for anonymous, individuals to bash a stylist or a business either unfairly, untruthfully, personally, and from one perspective. A platform in which people are allowed to provide no personal information, which creates no accountability. A site which so easily allows people to leave repeated reviews by the same person. A site which allows individuals to try and undermine a thriving business. 77 includes 11 stylists that work diligently and passionately for their career's. This site has provided a way to undermine the success of not only a salon, but 11 individuals who love what they do. 77 prefers face to face communication. The most important aspect of being a stylist is to make people happy, and the most rewarding. While we understand that we cannot make everyone happy, that remains our mission. Face to face, truthful and honest. So proceed with caution and take this internet source of communication/referrals for what they are, unsubstantiated. 77 is strong as a team. Growing as individual hairstylists, and are continuing to build as a salon the way we have been for the last 5 years.

Not only were they great they last over 5 months and loved them so much that I got them done again!! Vanessa is AMAZING!! If you ever have wanted to have long hair - go to her!! Pros: Vanessa does absolutely the BEST hair extensions!! Cons: NONE!

I have fine thin hair and never thought anyone would ever be able to cut it to make it look cute and full of volume. I always had an idea that it could happen if the right person gave it a go. Sarah at 77 did just that. I actually asked the receptionist who did a good job with my hair type and she quickly recomended Sarah. I looked at her profile on 77's website and it said Sarah was really good with mens hair. Well, fine and thin - that's me, and men too. It makes sence. My cut cannot be beat and I have people asking me where I got it cut for the first time in my life! Also she was really nice and easy to talk to. I told her what I wanted and she actually did it!!! Ladies and the fellas too can benefit from a visit to this fabulous lady... I am sure she can work wonders on any hair type! Pros: Someone in Portland can cut fine, thin hair!!

My stylist, Nickol, was suppose to be the cats meow in hair coloring. I went to her, walked out looking the exact same, and got charged 115 for it. then i called back days later to see if there was anything they could do to make it look a little more dramatic, and they never returned my calls. Not to mention Nickol was plain ol rude to me through out the whole service. Pros: The stylists are good at what they do Cons: Too many to name

I went to Nickol after reading a ton of great reviews. She truly is great at color correcting hair that has been messed up and the price was great. She took her time and my hair was not a frazzeled mess after I came out......it actually felt and looked healthy. I'd highly recommend you go if you want great color. She doesn't do cuts but that's OK would rather someone specialize in one thing. Pros: Fixing bad color, Price, Specializes in just doing color Cons: None

I asked Nicole to correct a blond coloring that showed orange roots (different colorist). When she removed the towel after processing my hair, I saw that she had colored my light blond hair a dark brunette. When I politely asked her if it would get any lighter, she was immediately defensive. She said that she couldn't work miracles, that I could go home and wash my hair in dish soap, and that she could use straight bleach on it to put white chunks in my hair because my hair was already damaged, so why not. I certainly didn't want her to keep working on my hair as she was clearly angry, didn't do it right to begin with, and reduced me to tears. This is not what a professional stylist does. The origional problem was simple to fix and her response to a simple question was intensely rude and unprofessional. When I left, she said "Well, I'll just charge you $75. Ladies, please, please, please do not go to Nichol. Pros: None Cons: Poor listening skills, defensive, and bad attitude
