OMSI is a fun place for all ages with a variety of exhibits including hands on activities for kids and interesting travelling exhibits (currently The Titanic). There is also an IMAX theatre, Platetarium, Submarine, and cafe. My kids (6,4,2) can spend 3-4 hours there easily.

Definitely different if your looking for something new to try. On the weekends it's a very long wait to get in, 2 hrs wait. And I say go for it if you have the time, and are the type who likes to meet new people. It's like stepping into a huge family dinning room. You will be seated next to, or in-between people you have never met before.
Food was good, soda's pricey.

We love going to Laurelwood for a beer and their great Alaskan salmon. Their beer is excellent - and they even have organic brews. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and upbeat. The food is reliably good - not great, but good. We usually get the Alaskan salmon. The sandwiches are hit & miss, and the pasta is good but rich. They’re willing to do custom orders on request.

Chris is an outstanding carpenter. He's versatile at many jobs, but he excels on high-end projects. Given the right materials, Chris can make things beautiful. I've used Chris on several jobs around our place, and he'll be doing our front porch next.
Chris is exactly what you want in a contractor: reliable, professional, and realistic.

More
Saucebox is a great restaurant any night of the week. Excellent food that is mostly Asian fusion with some twists on American favorites. And at 10pm, the tiny restaurant turns into a nightclub. What I really love is the Tues-Fri happy hour. Saucebox serves bargain priced ($1- $4) small plates and $2 Kirins. It's normally packed on Thursday and Friday happy hours so it's a fun place to meet people. Although there are tables outside on the sidewalk, it's next to a busy street, so I wouldn't recommend this place for outdoor dining.

More
Portland's Pearl District is a shining example of the re-urbanization trend in leading American cities. Over the past 10 years, this industrial neighborhood has attracted a remarkable diversity of stylish shops, high-end restaurants and loft-style residential buildings.
Bluehour was among the earliest outposts of style and good eating in the Pearl, and has retained its position through consistently great food coupled with a high-style modernist atmosphere, and a correspondingly fabulous local crowd.
The menu leans Mediterranean, but with a ligh "international" touch. A fresh menu is printed daily, but classics like gnocchi with black truffle and seared scallops with bacon are reliable favorites. A full bar is also available, making Bluehour a welcome stop for a late evening drink. And if you stay out late, a recently-added brunch menu might help take the edge off.

I love Mingo, a cozy, warm little Italian restuarant in Portland's northwest neighborhood. The food is uncomplicated, perfectly delicious, and completely satisfying, and the staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable. When I go to Mingo, I feel like I'm in Sienna. The only drawback is they don't take reservations, so the wait can be long, but it's absolutely worth it.

More
Bring a sexy date and some extra cash to this swank Asian-themed bar on a strip of SE Hawthorne that's better known for its stiff drinks than its ambiance. The lighting is great, the decor is hot, and the drinks are... well... a little over-priced. But you're paying extra to be made to feel smarter, prettier, and cooler than you actually are, and sometimes that just makes up for an $8 Manhattan. And no, it's not really a hotel.
