Hands down the best diner in NJ! everything is fresh, they have tons of items other diners wouldn't dare to have on their menus! Definitely give it a shot. Beware of the lines at dinner time.

I've only ever eaten here for breakfast, but the food has always been good. I especially recommend the french toast; they give you very thick slices of bread which are quite tasty. It's decently priced for a diner and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

This is NOT a chain restaurant, but a great BYO casual Italian restaurant owned by a Bloomingdale family. I've used them for catering and was bombarded with questions about where the food was from. They serve an unexpected variety of great seafood dishes and creative pastas. They are certainly not just pizza. They're a little tough to find, tucked behind Marco's Emporium next to the Hometown Market.
