If you are family or friends of someone hospitalized, Hospitality for Friends and Family will help try to find free safe and comfortable accomodations for one or two nights in a nearby hotel. This free service is NOT for patients, only family and friends. This is great if you are from out of town and need a break from camping out at the hospital bedside of your loved one and cannot afford our city's expensive hotel rates. You cannot call more than 2 or three days in advance as the hotel rooms are only donated when there are no regular bookings. Social worker referral recommended. Remember - this is only for one or two nights - don't be greedy! there are many people out there that need this help.
