Lots of choices at this store for the sports minded. Awesome and the guys are in there for the long haul when they enter this place. This is a sportsman's dream store and they usually have exactly what you are looking for. The prices are really good also and the quality of merchandise is excellant.

If you are looking for a wide, unique range of cigars, then you must visit Big Daddy's. Located right outside of Dallas, it is easily located on Spring Creek Pkwy. I bought several different varieties of cigars and gave some away as gifts. I think I stirred up some business for Big Daddy's cause a lot of my friends wanted to know where I got them from. Great little store. A must go to if you like cigars.

This is one of Plano's most famous parks, and for good reason. It is the site of the Plano Balloon Festival, an annual hot-air balloon exhibition that is just great. It's also got a playground, miles of hiking and biking trails, it borders a lake, and it has a beautiful wooded area. You can take boats out by the lake and stand on the dock and watch the sun set. The playground is very nice and admission to the park is free!

Good: I liked the service and firearm selections. I had spent a lot of time choosing my purchase and the sales staff were vary patient and answered a lot of question. The firearm selection was great and the prices were as good as 'gun show' prices (below retail). Range prices are affordable and the services they offer are great.. Bad: That I could not shoot a Desert Eagle .50 on the range (gun is too powerful).. Improvements: More specials and mailings through the internet. Even possibly a "featured firearm" that they post on the Website at a special discounted price. Sales postings on the web site would also be a bit hit..

I recently started taking ice skating lessons with my daughter who is 5. Its relatively inexpensive for the 8 lessons over 8 weeks. Its neat that they have two classes going on the same rink for adults and kids. Teachers are great and very kind and understanding and don't laugh when us adults do worse than the kids. I would definitely recommend to others. They also have a great public skates times too that are so much fun for the whole family.

The Heritage Farmstead is a museum in Plano, TX that consists of an authentically restored fourteen room 1895 Victorian farmshouse complete with all of its original outbuildings. It's in the heart of Plano, and it has most of the original stuff--they'll show you a 19th century kitchen and tell you how things were made, preserved, etc. There's a nice gift shop and it's cheap--only $3.50 for adults and $2.50 admission for children and seniors. A great family place to visit!

Jack Carter is a park that has been part of the City of Plano Parks and Recreation Department for a long time, and it's a family tradition. There's a park with picnic tables and walking and bike trails, as well as an incredibly nice swimming pool. The pool is actually more than one pool--there's one just for kids that's kind of a wading pool, then the regular pool. There's plenty of room to spread blankets and umbrellas and tables to sit at as well while others swim.

The Plano Aquatic Center is an excellent place to practice or stay in shape by swimming laps. They have lanes set aside for this type of swimming, and they have, in the past, offered lessons as well, so you can swim laps on your own or with a Plano Parks Department instructor. There are always lifeguards around when I've been and they have lockers that you can store your stuff in.
