When I have the opportunity I try to see the latest independent and foreign films at one of the two Angelika theatres in North Texas. The Angelika in Plano is newer and has a slight edge of its counter part in Dallas in terms of the fanciness of the building. Although it only has 5 screens as opposed to the 10 or so the Dallas theatre has. The concessions are costly but you can buy delicious goods not available at most theatres.

I have seen several plays in this small, yet wonderful venue and I must say there is not a bad seat in the house. The actors and actresses are great and seem to really enjoy what they do. They can even be found working at the front desk or helping out in other ways. The bathrooms were a little to be desired however. I do enjoy coming here, and will continue doing so as long as they offer the neat variety of live theatre we enjoy.

I accidentally found this little shop while looking for a Amy Butler fabric and was delighted to see they were nearby. This shop offers a HUGE selection of fabrics from Aimee Butler to Michael Miller. Customer service is wonderful and will make sure that you are taken care of from the second you walk through their doors. It's small shop but it's wall to wall fabrics so you won't be disappointed!

This review actually pertains to the store off of I-75 near Collin Creek Mall, as the Preston location no longer exists. CD Warehouse always has a fun selection of music at very inexpensive prices. Although most everything is used, there is some new stuff scattered around and those are the only expensive items. Although more people are downloading music these days, CD Warehouse has such low prices for full albums, it's worth checking there first.

This movie theater has a huge parking lot so there is always parking space. At night sometimes, there is even a police tower in the parking lot to make sure everyone is safe. There is a huge selection of movies and the seats are very comfortable. This theater also has the best popcorn by far. Make sure you ask for the freshly popped ones if you see it!

I recently started taking ice skating lessons with my daughter who is 5. Its relatively inexpensive for the 8 lessons over 8 weeks. Its neat that they have two classes going on the same rink for adults and kids. Teachers are great and very kind and understanding and don't laugh when us adults do worse than the kids. I would definitely recommend to others. They also have a great public skates times too that are so much fun for the whole family.

Dr. Pepper has several locations in the Metro Dallas area. The one that I am reviewing is the one in Plano. It located on Plano Parkway and have skating lessons and Hockey practices. Their lessons are pretty good. I heard a few of my friends comment on them. If you have boys, they tend to suggest you to move from skating to Hockey. I have also been invited to a birthday party there. It is much quieter than other skating place and the place is very big. I could think this place is more for professional training than the one in Stonebriar Mall.

Low-lit, old-fashioned steakhouse in Plano with a contemporary-ish decor. They have a la carte portions, except with some entrees/specials (I recommend the salmon, if they have it on the specials’ menu). All together this place is a bit pricey, but the service is also very good. The servers are not overly pushy and they don’t rush you through your meal.
