I'm a 1st time mom, who like any other mom, was reluctant to put my baby into a childcare. My husband and I checked many schools in the Allen area and finally decided to put my 6 week old baby into Children's House Montessori. I could not have found a better infant program. The clean, bright, and spacious classroom made me feel like my child is free to explore the classroom germ free without bumping into any classroom furniture. I love the small ratio and qualified, dedicared, infant teachers. When I watch them, especially the lead teacher, wh o has been an infant teacher for many years, interact with the babies, you can tell how much they enjoy them. Every time i pick up my son in the late afternoon, he looks and smells clean and happy. This gives me so much relief because I know my son is in good hands all day long. I feel even better when I get his daily report and I feel so invvolved when I know his daily schedule. I feel like my baby is at home away from home thanks to CHM's wonderful staff.

It seems that the review published by "Ann L" below is mistaken with respect to which school it is referring to.
The "Montessori Children's House" in Plano, where both my daughter and son attend, does not in fact have an Allen location. Perhaps the previous reviewer had their facts mixed up.
As far as my experience has gone, it has been nothing but completely satisfactory.
I have had very pleasant encounters with the director and all of the staff at MCH.
I believe that they go out of their way to personally help each parent/child. I highly recommend MCH in Plano to parents of pre-school and elementary children looking for a genuinely caring and unique place.

My daughter (who is now 6 1/2) attended Children's House Montessori in Allen - but they also own the Plano location on Hedgecoxe. We were very thrilled with the Montessori method of teaching. The teachers speak softly and quietly, the classrooms are warm, calm and inviting, and the children thrive. The only negative thing I can say about this particular school is that we did not care for the Director and many of the teachers. I don't believe it is an accredited Montessori school. My second daughter is now enrolled in a Montessori school in Plano that IS accredited and I can definitely tell a huge difference. All of the teachers have to be certified and you can tell it is just run differently.
