This place might be a good rated office a few years back, but not anymore.There might be just one good doctor here who is really trying do a good job.But we never had a good experience with the rest We have taken our kid for a sick visit ,just couple of times to this office in last one year.All other visit to this office was well chid checkup.Everytime the doctor comes into the room with so much in a hurry and leaves immediately.There was one time when my child was very sick and the doctor had asked the RN(nurse) to do the daignosis and did not come to room to see the kid though he was in the office. Most of all is a very unfriendly front office people. Pros: None Cons: Not good in response, not professional

We have been bringing our children to this office for almost 8 years and have never had a bad experience. We understand that it is a busy office, but we view that as a reflection of the great quality of care. That being said, whenever one of our boys has been sick and needs to be seen that day, they always get us in. We have seen both Dr Katz and Dr Mcdonald many times and they are both excellent. We have not seen their new partner yet, but have heard good things about her from 2 of our friends. We have also had occasion to use their nurse practitioners and think they are both excellent. We use Dr Katz for checkups and he always does a thorough job and answers all our questions. I think it's funny to read the reviews complaining about how busy he is, but they all say he is a great doctor. Would you rather see a bad doctor and save 10 minutes? I guess that is just the way some people view the world. If you are looking for GREAT care for your kids, this is the place!

In the past 6 years I have seen this office become increasingly busy. I have to say that the last two times we went I did feel rushed. When I questioned the nurse about the chicken pox vaccine for my daughter- she seemed bothered by the fact that she would have to use the vaccine on someone else while we waited to discuss this with the doctor- as she rushed around the room. They are either understaffed or overbooked in my opinion. I am torn about staying or going to another doctor since I really do like Doctor Katz. Being such a good doctor it is only natural that now they just seem too busy....

I had to take my child there 3 times in one month for the same thing. You have to actually request persistently to see a doctor otherwise you are automatically given a nurse practitioner, which are nice but when you go to see a doctor, you expect to see a doctor. I had a nurse call my son a her and she throughout the same visit. If only she would have looked up once to see my child was a boy! I understand there are rough days and busy days but I don't remember having a good visit. Currently in the process of looking for another doctor.

My daughter has been coming to this practice since she was born. When she was two years old, Dr. McDonald mis-diagnosed her with pneumonia. She ended up in ICU for a week. He did not even come to see her while in the hospital. We had seen Dr. Katz one time when Dr. McDonald was full and really liked him. We immediately switched over to Dr. Katz. He has taken excellent care of my daughter for 10 years now. She is getting to the age that she doesn't want to go to a baby doctor and I don't want to switch!

I have been taking my daughter there since she was born on Feb. 28. The staff and the doctors do not make you feel important to them and you always feel rushed. The only reason why I stayed there so long is because I would always see the nurse practitioner they are 100 times better then the three doctors working there. The nurses are awful too, forgetting to give my child shots, no energy when they come in, unfriendly. I will not go back to Plano Pediatrics ever again.

I have been taking my children to Plano Pediatrics since my daughter was born in June 2004. I will never go to anyone else and would highly recommend them to anyone. They are the best at getting in last minute when you have a sick little one. I have been to both Dr.'s and all of the Nurse Practitioners - they are all very knowledgable and attentive - I have to say that Karen P. is our favorite. When I was a new nursing mother and having troubles she sat with me for an hour and took time to make sure that everything was OK. Ever since then I request to see her if we can.

We have been taking our child to this office for the past two years and Dr Katz's is her primary doctor. Dr Katz is one of the best doctor's we have ever met. He is never rushed, he never even gives the impression of rushing you through the exam and he is always willing to answer any questions you may have. The entire office staff is awesome and so are the nurse practioners who you can also see if the doctors are not available. They also are very good at giving you the same day appointements if your child is sick. PROS: Excellent Doctors, and staff CONS: may not always get to see the doctor on same day appointments

We always can get an appointment that day if our kids are sick, and that includes Saturday mornings. They have always had weekend hours, contrary to the other reviews. Highly recommend this practice.
