I am a single mother, and I have worked for Plano Day School for about a year. Plano Day School is a wonderful place for both my children and me. The pay is excellent, contrary to what the review below states. In addition to my paycheck, I get free child care and really great benefits that most day cares I have worked for have failed to provide. My children are receiving a great education in a nice environment. Also, my kids have a chance to participate in extracurricular activities such as basketball, speech and communication classes, and art.
Unlike a lot of other daycares in the area, Plano Day School is really focused on education. The previous daycare I sent my child to allowed my children to play and have fun, but they did not really learn anything. At Plano Day School, I feel like they find the right balance to learning and playing. All of the teachers are qualified professionals. In response to a previous comment about the office staff, that may be a previous staff member who is no longer employed by the school. The staff has been nothing but friendly and kind to me.
For those that live in the Plano area and that are looking for an affordable daycare with excellent services, I hope you come and give this school a try.
Pros: A LOT of extracurricular activities for the kids that are all on site, friendly staff, affordable

luckily, we have been there 3 years.... we met three good teachers... that's the only reason that we are still there, but besides that the luch really upsets me!! everything from CAN or FROZEN... my kids start to have the habit that they just skip the meal and have plenty of SNACKS ! And my kids are not the only one piccky... actually most of the kids doing the same thing...even the teacher complain to the owner that if they can have something fresh... fresh fruit, fresh vedge.... but Not Gonna Happen .
The playgroud area is really really poor too ! the groud is covered by small rocks and kids love to play with it ( of course ) but there's dust everywhere.... my kids has to change their outfit before they enter my house.... it's too DIRTY !
But but but ... I love the teacher , what can I do !

I had my children in Plano Day School for quite some time. Stay away from asking the assistant director anything. She is rude and has no idea how to speak to parents. It makes you wonder how she obtained her position. My children as well as other children were and are afraid of her. Other than her, the school was O.K.
Pros: Nice academic program
Cons: The Assistant Director

As a comment to the previous review, I feel that it was mistakenly written about our school. The name of our school is Plano Day School. There is another day care in east Plano called Plano Day Care. I have no opinions for that center but I feel that the comments written do not reflect the high quality of care and education that are found at Plano Day School. If in fact the writer has correctly written about Plano Day School I invite you to please contact us so that we can take care of these issues immediately.

Plano Day School is a school which strives to provide quality daycare services in a clean and fun atmosphere. For example, the children at the school have the opportunity to learn academics everyday as well as go outside to play in the playground. The playground has many structures and is a spacious area so that the children do not feel crowded. Also, the ratio of teachers to students is excellent. The school always makes sure that there are enough teachers for the number of students present. The teachers strive to teach the children good habits such as washing their hands after they play outside and cleaning up the toys after they're done playing with them.

My daughter has been a student at Plano Day School for two years. First of all, I would not call it a daycare; it is much more than that. It is a school thats main focus is education and building self-esteem. My daughter attended a daycare before enrolling her at Plano Day School. Everyday I asked what she did and her answer was played I would ask if she learned anything and she said no and was never really excited about going everyday. When I enrolled her a Plano Day School, she was excited to get up and go to school, when I asked what she did she would reply with I learned...
Pros: Caring Teachers, Great Education, Good Structure
