If you have someone coming into town or just want a romantic get away go to this place! The rooms are so cool, they are done in a retro-style. The windows use a large sliding painting instead of a curtain. There is always something happening there. Lots of fun!!
They also have a fabulous restaurant!

I have stayed at the Arizona Biltmore and I thought it was a gorgeous property. I love Frank Lloyd Wright's work and this hotel is stunning in its architecture. The rooms are nicely appointed with a classic feel. The pools are beautiful and the wait staff is great.

But old! It's Frank Lloyd Wright, and I should preface this with telling you that I don't especially care for that style of architecture. The hotel is very old, and it shows. This was clearly a top-notch, awesome hotel in like the 50's and 60's. Now, it's still all the same as it was back then. And frankly, it kind of smells in there. I know it's supposed to be one of the nicest hotels in Phoenix, but I can think of 10 other resorts which are nicer! The rooms are nothing to brag about- they're old- and that's about it when it comes to the Biltmore. Oh, and every president since Eisenhower or something has stayed here.

We stayed here for our wedding night and it could not have been more perfect. We had a private casita. When we got there they knew who we were checked us in is just a few short minutes. When we got to our casita there were candles lit rose petals everywhere, music playing. They did everything I had asked them to do. They even made us a dessert and wrote congrats in chocolate on it. We had breakfast in bed the next day from t-cooks and it was amazing. It is expensive to stay here but worth every penny.

The Pointe hotels have always been outstanding but the Pointe South Mountain Resort is as perfect as it gets. We had a family reunion and we booked all the out of town guest at the Pointe South Mountain. Each room was beautiful. The staff provided outstanding service along with the ability to go above and beyond the call of duty. When my aunt needed some special food arrangements the chef came out personally and found out what she did and didn't like to prepare her the (in her words) best dinner I have had in years. If you have a chance to visit Phoenix, the Point is a place to go.

When we vacation here we try to come here a few times. We love to sit outside in the over sized chairs and stare out at the grass area and the pool. We always get cocktails and the hummus and pita platter, actually we need to get two because it is so good. If you are going to go be prepared for it to be crowded even on a weeknight, we usually have to wait for a table and server. The times we have been there they have usually has some sort of live music. It is a lively place. We even bring the kids and let them run around on the grass. If you are in the area give it a try!

Living in Tucson, we decided last second to run up to Phoenix for a weekend trip. This was the first and last hotel we looked at and got a King suite for less than $120 a night. The room was perfect for the four of us and we eneded up close to one of the pools and right across from the waterpark. The waterpark was awesome. Food and drink was a little on the pricey side, but not a surprise. The kids had fun, and the adults had fun. If we ever get the urge to run away again, we will probably stay here.
Pros: Ample parking, Waterpark, restaurants
Cons: little crowded

The San Carlos is a very old hotel with a lot of old charm. The rooms are clean and decorated in an old glamour way. They have a very quaint pool, too. If you stay here, you need to take the ghost tour. They take you into the basement and throughout the hotel to look for spirits. We didn't see anything but the historical information was very interesting and the tour was lots of fun.
