My boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews since we recently moved to the SW valley. Located in a tiny strip mall in the heart of Maryvale, Popo's could easily go unnoticed. (We missed it and thought it was in the Fry's shopping center- duh). Thanks to the food, service, and margs, we know exactly where it is now! Great food and service; portions are huge. Margaritas actually have tequila in them-- (nice!) Can't wait to return.

Cons: grease, but it's Mexican food, right?

This place has realy god food and the salsa is made fresh. This place is not in the best part of town but the food is great. Prices are reasonable and the staff is generaly plesant.

Pros: great food, great service, reasonable prices
Cons: very loud mariachi music on certain nights; you can't hear yourself think

My friends & family have always considered Popo's our family restaurant. We appreciate the years and years of wonderful service and exceptional food. these guys are geat if you are looking for real mexical food. The salsa is homemade and the food is great. the only problem is that some of the people there are not that friendly.
