I love this place. My husband took me to this restaurant several times while dating, and even took me there the night he proposed. Their menu is so different from anywhere else. They do have the ribs, steak, etc., but some of their other dishes are different. We love their spinach artichoke dip and their shoestring fries are good. We love the ambiance. I used to get a pasta dish that was really tasty, but I'm not sure if they make it anymore. It has been a while since we have been there! I recommend this place. Good food, good wine, good setting.

One of the best, and certainly the most overlooked restaurant in the Valley. Their new chef, Anthony De Mauro, is nothing short of amazing! It is quite a unique pleasure to find a top shelf (cuisine & ambiance) dining spot that has a warm, intelligent and outstanding staff. While it is an elegant rooftop restaurant with the most incredibly beautiful view in town, it is also "non-stuffy". You can impress a date, a boss, or your spouse without feeling that you've just spent your mortgage payment! The food is inventive, delicious and gorgeously presented...this place is a long-time hidden treasure. Who cares about the next "trendy spot" (where the food is usually overrated and overpriced) when you can enjoy a fabulous meal, a fantastic view, and not break the bank?
Pros: Delicious meals gorgeously presented, fine wines, outstanding view!
Cons: None

My all time favorite steakhouse in the country is Smith & Wollensky's, but this is right there, just slightly less impressive. Capital Grill is outstanding in my opinion in quality of beef, service, and ambiance. Well worth the money and you will return my friends. I would only recommend Ruth's Chris close to this here in Phoenix. Flemings is tops on service, but the steaks did not even compare. Go here and have at it--their Kona coffee rub is outrageous, as are the side dishes!
Pros: What can I say? the best steak in town, and 2nd best in the U.S.
Cons: Hmmm, the fact that you can't eat there everyday without going bankrupt?

Moving to Phoenix from San Francisco we have been missing the wide variety and caliber of restaurants SF offers. Bistro Fuego ranks right up there with the best of the small SF restaurants. Six of us shared a number of appetizers that were all fantastic then moved onto individual entrees that were all unique, flavorful and seriously bountiful. Despite being stuffed at this point we still went for splitting some deserts and these too were very good. Combine the food with excellent drinks and top notch service and you have yourself a real gem of a place. We'll definitely be back more than once.
Pros: Great food, drinks and service
Cons: Bit tough to find

Pizza Heaven has been around for years – it’s a part of the Central Phoenix history and there is a reason for that – I can sum it up in three words…Yum….Yum…and YUM! The pizza is amazing…the prices are great and the employees are awesome.
Pizza Heaven offers wheat crusts on request and has a really substantial list of vegetarian options. The sandwiches are tasty and the pasta selections are generous and definitely satisfy.
The staff is great – The owner is very consistent when it comes to making her way to each table to welcome the guests and ensure everything is satisfying. I would be remised if I didn’t mention the waiter Juan who has been there for a number of years…I don’t think anything compares to his cuteness –and to top it off, he’s attentive, and kind.
Last night we dined in and ordered a large 3-toping pizza, two salads, two cokes and a beer and when we left we were more than satisfied with the food and extremely satisfied with the bill as there are very few places left that you can get a solid dinner and enjoyable atmosphere for under 30.00!
So can I just say, when your looking for some good eats and you’re in the Central Phoenix area…you should definitely check this place out.
Word? Word!
Pros: GREAT food - Good Prices - Good Staff

A friend and I had tickets to the Suns game and decided to get some dinner before the game but didn?t want to deal with the hassle of the bars near the arena so we agreed to meet at Portlands instead. Fantastic idea!! The place was fairly quiet and we quickly got a table in the bar and had dinner and drinks. The owner(!!) brought our food out to us personally and asked us if we were heading downtown (indeed we were!) and he told us we could catch the downtown DASH bus for free right outside the restaurant and it would drop us off right in front of the arena. We decided to try it and, wow, was it a snap! We were the only ones on the bus and like promised it dropped us off in front of the arena after a quick and scenic 15 min ride. We had a laugh at the game traffic along the way! We took a peddle cab back to our cars after the game and went home happy campers! Downtown is cool again!

i have been going to this place for over 10 years and i think it is wonderful. The waiters after only going there 2 times already knew our names and remembered us and they are always friendly and down to earth. it is decorated nice and is darker and would be good for a date but i also recommend it for any other time. its a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

This has to be one of the top 3 pizza places in the entire Phoenix area. Our favorites off the menu are the Oregano's Favorite salad, the Italian Gold wings and a thin crust pizza. Gotta try it out.
