The Learning Center as well as the day care has very high ratios , the staff is very rude and really uncaring , the owners are too profit hungry to hire assistants or people of any calliber to work in the rooms. It reminded me of a high end sweat shop.
I even noticed the rooms have boxes with locks over them to control the use of the air conditioners. Sad when you have your "teachers"(which non really are certified)cleaning tolits and vacuming at night so not to have to pay a cleaning service. I say the way the owner treats the staff says alot about the way she will be treating you and your beloved children!!!!

This is an awful experience for myself and my son. I did weeks of research and thought it would be a great fit. However, I soon realized that it was far from it. Six weeks was all it took. My son looked forward to going to the learning side and had no problems leaving me. The second week, he would cry uncontrollably before and begged for me not to take him there. Said it was loud and that they were mean to him. During the third week I watched from the car in the back parking lot during outdoor playtime and was saddened to see kids pushing/hitting (typical behavior for the 3-4 age group) however, the caregivers/teachers did NOTHING to try and redirect and teach the kids social skills. Although, they pride themselves in this area, because this is what this age group needs. I also would watch the class room in the front office on the TV monitor. The teacher had ZERO control over these children and it looked as if the TV was the babysitter for the kids. I was told that the TV was only used rarely for very specific educational purposes. It was on most the morning.
When speaking to the front office about my concerns and observations, they were completely defensive and tried to convince me this is 'normal' and like any other school. The next day, my son was hit in the face by another child, of course, that is what happens sometimes, however, I found out the next day that they had the other boy removed from the school. I thought that to be extreme, my god, he is only 3! I suppose compassion/understanding of some children that are in need of extra help is out of the question. I took my son out and looked for another school. I found one. And when speaking to them about triple R, they knew exactly what I was referring to. They had heard it all before. This school was perfect, the staff constant, caring and very attentive to the children. It was night and day comparison

I enrolled my daughter at Triple R and I was not at all satisfied with the facility. The front desk staff was rude and always on their cell phones when I came in. On multiple days I picked up my daughter with a soaking diaper. I also heard a staff yelling at children in a toddler class and threatening one child that she was going to strap him into a high chair if he didn't calm down- not an okay means of restraint or discipline. I would not reccomend you send your child to this childcare.

I'm a long-time child care worker. I've been at Triple R for a couple of years. Triple R's pay is comparable to what other child cares in the valley pay. Because you work for an owner and not a regional manager miles and miles away, they truly care for and about you as an employee. I love these people! Lauren, sorry about your experience but there had to be more than what you shared with us going on, I have seen them bend over BACKWARDS to help their employees with schedule changes and family situations. They also love and care for their children and families, much more so than any preschool I have ever worked for. The classes are kept as small as possible to allow for individual attention and the children are truly learning readiness skills and not the goofy shtick the corporate centers are passing off as getting ready for Kindergarten. To the parent concerned about the starchy snacks, there may be a snack like that one day, then the next day cheese and fruit will be served, EVERY center does that. Go check out the KinderCares and LaPetites, etc. Triple R is a BIG difference for the better in every way! Oh, and the families are super nice people and their childen are too! Don't be fooled by the sour grapes.

Parents: As a child care giver of over 8 years I need to let you in on an obvious secret... your experience is in correlation with a PERSON not a LOCATION! The reason there is such a turn around is management not willing to pay employees that are worth the extra money the extra money, or gratitude and respect, in most cases. I have bounced around every 2 years looking for better pay and benefits as this is my career for the moment. I am currently an ASU student less than a year from graduating with years of experience, child related courses, CPR and first aid certified, clean background check... the list goes on. (I am going to be an elem. ed teacher with an emphasis in multicultural education, ESL and SEI endorsed with over 8 credit hours of spanish under my belt.)
Despite what most institutions tell you, this is a money making business. If they can get someone that has minimal to no experience but meets the guidelines they will hire that person and give the ax or slowly out an employee that they pay the max to.
By out I mean make that person quit. Due to my school schedule and a required internship I have lost my job as a pre-k teacher. I am unable to work on Monday from the end of August til December so therefore I am unable to keep my students. Logic would, or rather should, take place and say: wow, this is a person who is going to college to be a teacher and she is teaching my kids. Sure, Monday she is not there but for the other four days she is and she makes a difference.
One thing is for sure, ask if the employees take a drug test because surprisingly your bagger at the grocery store does, but the average child care giver does not. Irony? Your groceries are safe, but are your kids?

My son has attended the pre-k program this school year. He has an excellent teacher who taught kindergarten previously. My son's fine motor skills and phonemic awareness have greatly improved over the course of this year.
In response to other postings, I have seen no turn-over in the preschool part of Triple R. In my son's class, there seems to be no issues with attention or discipline due to class size. The snacks do tend to be carbs - crackers, pretzels, etc, so I try to send 3 servings of fruits/veggies in his lunch everyday. As for the videos, they have allowed my son to do puzzles or look at books during the morning video.
Overall, I am pleased with the staff at Triple R. For me, the teaching outweighs issues with snacks and television. His teacher and the administrative staff are encouraging and kind. If this weren't the case, we would not have our son attend Triple R.

We initally took our son to Triple R when he was just an infant - the infant rooms in the facilty were clean, and the care-giver to child ratio low. This facility was a bit more expensive, but we felt that we were paying for a more quality facility for our child.
As our son grew over this last year and advanced into the pre-toddler and then toddler rooms we began to notice small things that concerned us.
We began to see a revolving door of caregivers in the rooms. My son attended the daycare for a year and a half and this location has had a Now Hiring sign on the side of the building since we began leaving our son in their care.
In the last 3 months I have seen 4 different caregivers in his room, and it seems every other day I see someone new when I drop him off and pick him up.
The menu for the children included such things as Chicken Fried Steak Fingers, Rice Krispy treats and cookies - items loaded with fat and sugar and not age appropriate for toddlers. In addition, the caregivers provided our son with candy (he??????s under two years of age) without our permission.
The infant rooms were good and had stable, long-time employees. However the pre-toddler and toddler rooms have been a different story and have really opened our eyes to the inconsistent care that has occured with so much turnover. We have chosen to move our son into the Primrose school, which recently opened in Chandler.

We had our child in TRIPLE R from when he was an infant until he turned 1 then our nightmare happened. We witnessed our ONE year old was being punished for being a typical ONE year old in an aggressive way. And when we confronted the staff it was complete cover up to protect the care taker in the one year old room. They're explanation for our child being handled this way was, he was having a bad day there for they restrained our child in the crib as punishment. CAUTION when talking with owner she totally flipped out on us and started name calling when we tried to resolve the situation.

There are both wonderful and very disappointing aspects to Triple R. My daughter's teacher is an excellent educator who completely prepares the kids for kindergarten. She is patient, kind, challenging, and positive. Her time with the kids between 8am and 2pm is very beneficial to my daughter.
Unfortunately, I can not say the same for the rest of the day. Prior to 8 am every day, children are forced to watch television, often times without being aloud to move around or talk. This also occurs for part of the afternoon time. The reason given for this is that children are continually arriving and the television keeps the kids quiet. It is also used a calming device in the afternoon. In addition, videos are played during rest time after lunch for the 4 year olds. If you have a child there from 6:30 am to 5pm, your child can be watching up to 3 hours of videos in one day!!
Day care should have interesting, interactive activities for children. Providing a stimulating environment will prevent discipline problems and make the employees and children/parents much happier.
The ratio in the pre-k classes is 14 to 1. This is higher than kindergarten in the surrounding public schools, which tends to be 10 to 1.
If you take your child to Triple R, I would do everything in your power to have them attend only the official school day, with no before or after care.
