I went into this store thinking that the vacuums were going to be more expensive than the big department store. I read the ad stating that they beat the competition, but I am always wary about advertising scams. I was pleasantly surprised when I found that they indeed do their homework and offer a lower price than the competition. I found the staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

9 years ago I bought a Riccar vacuum cleaner on the advice of Larry at Mr. Vac and Sew. What a great purchase. Every year I bring in my vacuum and I get it cleaned and lubricated at no charge. The machine works like brand new. They also get it done fast.

Last year my 40 year old Kenmore sewing machine stopped working. I took it in for repairs locally three times to two different repair shops. I paid alot of money and the sewing machine still did not run correctly. My husband convinced me to take the sewing machine with me on a trip to Phoenix.......reasoning, that surley someone in the Phoenix area would be able to repair it. After arrival I contacted Larry at Mr. Vac & Sew. He was polite, courteous, and knowledgable. He understood that I was visiting from Alaska and that time was an issue. Succinctly, Larry (and his "crackerjack" repairman) fixed my beloved sewing machine. I sew alot and am a quilter. I have seven machines in my sewing room. I have used the sewing machine that Larry repaired for three months and it runs like new. I could not be happier with the service and price. Next month when I visit again I will be bringing my grandmothers singer featherlight down for an overhaul I can hardley wait! I never thought I would live in Alaska and take my sewing machines to Arizona for repair. Now, I can't imagine taking my machines anyplace else. Thanks Larry for the great service....and saving my machine.

For the third time in 12 years Mr Vac and Sew have fixed my old Electrolux vacuum cleaner. As always they told me in advance how much it would be to fix and what it would cost to replace, and as always the machine worked like brand new when I got it home. They are a model of consistency. I appreciate that.

I went into Mr vac and Sew to trade in my broken vacuum on a new Hoover vacuum. When I was done selecting the new vacuum I wanted, I had my son bring in my broken vacuum to see how much trade in I would get. The manager offered me $25.00 for my trade in but then went on to explain to me that my broken vacuum was actually a better vacuum cleaner than the one I wanted to purchase. He suggested that instead of making my purchase now why don't I let him check out my broken vacuum and see what it would cost to fix it. I called back 2 days later and got a repair price that was $200.00 less than the purchase of the new vacuum would have been. I also got a one year warranty which is the same as the new one. I picked up my repaired vacuum and have to say that I am very happy with the way it works and the money I saved.

After the frustration of going to Sears, Best Buy , Costo and Target, my sister inlaw suggested I try Mr Vac and Sew. What a surprise. A staff who could answer my questions in a way that made sense to me. No one at these other stores appeared to know much about what they were talking about. They also had a much larger selection of vacuum cleaners than any of the others and from what I saw their prices were lower too. I love the vacuum I bought and recommend them highly

Dear Larry... By way of re-introduction, I'm the guy from Carefree with the Electro Hygiene unit you serviced a while back.
More importantly, I want you to know the ol' machine never ran better... more suction, clean filter and wheels plus an extended 50-foot service cord. More than i expected.
Like you, I think a customer has the right to raise hell when the service warrants; and give the merchant an 'atta-boy' when the job's well done
You did a fine job; I'll be back for other needs.
And in closing, be sure to tell Chris for being so mature... he's the only person I know under fifty who says "...thanks for calling, we appreciate your business."

My 74 year old mother needed her sewing machine fixed. She lives with me in Chandler. She insisted against my pleadings to go to a repair store 30 minutes away when there was a repair shop 5 minutes from our house. She used to live right by Mr Vac and Sew and had been to them for repair in the past. When we came in the man behind the counter rushed up to us and carried the heavy sewing machine to the front bench. He asked my mother what her problem was. After she explained the problem he did something to the machine and then with a smart laugh and smile said " that will be $50.00 please". For a second I was in shock but then again with a big smile he explained that her needle was in backwards and that was her problem and of course she really didn't owe anything. After some more sew talk between the man and my mother he carried the machine out to the car and we said good by. I guess Mothers always do know best.
