When we walked into Chloe, the amazing Flavors of the food immediately got my attention. The waitress greeted us with a smile and kindly said she would seat us when our party was completed, in the mean time she offered to open our wine. While the restaurant was pretty full, we wondered where she would seat us! We were a party of 6. As we sipped our wine, I was observing the the cozy ambiance, along with the two servers glidding by eachother working in high volume. Several others came in after us and put there names on a list. (one of which seemed to be a regular) whom, gave the server a hard time because she was not going to be seated right away! The server explained that a party of 6 was infront of her, and offered to open her wine while she waited. Immediately, after our party was completed the server rearranged some tables and sat us comfortably in the back of the restaurant.
Well, I dont know what everyone is complaining about! The food was amazing. To start we ordered the Fennel with Mozz Chesse, Potato soup topped with truffle oil, (unbelievable) and the beat and chloe salad. For our main dishes we got the Ribs, served with Mac and Cheese, the Halibut Special topped with ham, and the Pan Seared Scallops. To end our night with something sweet we orded the banana bread pudding with Pumkin Ice Cream, topped with Carmel Sauce, the cheese cake, and the peach cake with coconut gelato.
All and All we had a fabulous time. The Flavors were amazing, The Service was Sweet, and the Ambiance was Cozy! What more could you ask for, the first weekend of fall....
Pros: Amazing Flavors, Super Sweet Service, Cozy Ambiance

Just ate there about a week ago. Although it was very busy we had great service and the food was great. After we ate we went over to the bar and Nick the bartender made us some great drinks. I would definitely recommend this place to any sushi enthusiasts. Ignore all the bad remarks because to be honest the food here is great. Great atmosphere too, epecially on the second floor. I recommend it!.
Pros: Great service great food.
Cons: A little hot on the second floor.

Bruce Slemmer is that rare combination of exceptional talent coupled with professionalism. I used to have the distinct pleasure of working with him. I can now write a review without it deemed a conflict of interest.
I have been to many salons in my life. Some of them being considered to be the best in the industry. None of them came close to producing the results that I have seen at the hands of the skillful Bruce. His process takes everything into account: lifestyle, face shape, coloring, and hair texture. His color, cut and blowouts are like nothing I have experienced before.
He has given me the most beautiful, shiny chocolate brown color. That's just the color! The cut and the blowout are equally amazing. I have gotten so many compliments from people in regard to my color and cut. My hair is fine and wavy= unruly. He has transformed my hair into an easy cut that I can wear both wavy and straight.
To start with, when you sit in Bruce's chair your hair will get the attention it deserves, he makes sure of it! His mastery of hair is equally matched by his lack of pretense. Bruce is not someone you go to for just one discipline, such as color and then go to another stylist for a cut. He takes such pride in doing everything from start to finish. This really helps create an atmosphere where you don't feel like cattle that is being herded from stylist to stylist.
I highly recommend Bruce Slemmer for anyone who seeks a new cut, color, keratin treatment, blowout. He really belongs in the league of Fekkai, Licari, Jonathan, Hershberger, etc. I say this because that truly is how good he is! Trust me, your hair will thank you for it.
Lastly, as someone who worked with him he was an absolute pleasure to work with void of any drama. My hair and I miss him very much.
Pros: Best cut and color! Ever.
Cons: Zero. Absolutely none.

I have been a loyal customer to HeaD AreA since last winter and would never, ever consider going anywhere else! I see Julie and she's amazing. She's an expert when it comes to hair and really understands color and how to bring out the physical best in her clients. She's also a meticulous hair cutter and treats each cut like it's the best cut she's ever given. If you like to experiment and try new looks, Julie is definitely the girl to see! Actually, you could see any one of the stylists at HeaD AreD and leave looking awesome. As for the salon in general, the staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. Admittedly it's not a cheap (I've never spend less than $120 on cut and color) but for how good you look, it's worth every penny. This is a salon where you get exactly what you're pay for. Keep in mind, though, that appointments are tough to book and you'll probably need to do so at least 4-6 weeks in advance.
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Last minute appointments typically aren't possible.

South Street Sushi is a mirage, a hallucination, an eruption of passion lined thinly with a nightmarish hue. Like a tribal rite of passage, its essence cannot exist outside of the hours of 2:00 am - 4:00 am, as if a greasy, grungy Brigadoon bloomed and blossomed from the bitter sidewalks of South Street every night.
To attain this level of enlightenment, the subject must consume enough alcohol that they would be considered a "crying out for help" by certain audiences. Next, after a confused, sometimes frightening trek through the shadowy South Philly streets, the subject must obtain one cheesesteak from Jim's Steaks, at 4th and South streets. The cheesesteak is carefully transported to Lorenzo's, one block east, and kept in its wrapping while the subject purchases any one slice of Lorenzo's gargantuan pizzas.
The subject carries the two items outside, and in a fit of gluttony, drunkenness and shame, wraps the jumbo slice of pizza around the cheesesteak, and shovels the sickening combination down its throat like a snake swallowing a helpless mole.
But like a river in the deep, dry desert, it is but an illusion. For when the feeling is gone, and the day is new, your life-changing accomplishment sends you spiraling back to Earth with a long, long lecture - courtesy of the porcelain god.
Only those who truly with to live their lives to the fullest will experience this miraculous disaster. It will change your life.

Amada has it all, hip bar, entertainment and fantastic food. The meat slicers on the bar slicing fresh cheeses and various deli meats gives you the great feeling of freshness! The bar tenders are very friendly and the small plate of tapas are so much fun to share with a group of friends. All around one of my very favorite places to eat in Philadelphia!
