This is a nice theater in a very convenient area. Tickets aren't quite as pricey as the Kimmel, though the off-Broadway shows don't make an appearance. The seating is pretty tight, especially if you're in the upper levels. But the staff were all friendly, and that's always appreciated. Take in a show if you can.

The Walnut has some great shows - The 39 Steps, Miss Saigon, etc. Just don't ever expect to be able to exchange your ticket at all if you are not a subscriber; even if it is more than 2 weeks in advance. They are extremely unaccommodating. Then they tell you that there are no exchanges or returns, and that it is written on the back of the ticket. Well, maybe it is, but the font on the back of the ticket is about 1/16th of an inch tall. I can't read it, even with glasses. In addition, if you try to get a refund from your credit card company you will be blacklisted from using any credit card with your name on it for any Ticketmaster-sold tickets. (Walnut uses Ticketmaster to process their tickets, but they are also the agents for sports games, other theaters, the orchestra, etc., etc.,).
Bye Walnut, no more shows for me there. And if the $150 spent on this show is so important to them that it stops me from ever buying another ticket to their shows, so be it.
