another wonderful little gift store that has unusual, funky designs. they have a jewelry department and a household department, and both feature the work of local designers and artists. the person who buys for the store has a really great eye - every time i go in, i like pretty much a good eighty percent of everything i see, which is a high percentage. as far as service goes, my mom got her wedding rings there and they were incredibly helpful with figuring out sizing, cleaning the rings through the years, and re-sandblasting them to restore their original finish.

American Pie now shares a space with Abode, and it's a great match. Although we have lost some of the whimsical knick-knacks that made their earlier store such a joy, there are some wonderful things in the new place, along with the beautiful Abode furniture. They have a nice Judaica section and some lovely cards as well.

If you are visiting South Street and are even remotely into art and crafts, you MUST stop by American Pie. This is such a unique and wonderful store. They carry an extensive collection of "Storypeople" and "Sticks" items including a large showroom of sticks furniture. They will even help you customize your own furniture if you'd like. They also carry a huge selection of unique, hand crafted jewelry. Their items are on the expensive side, but worth every penny for their uniqueness and beauty. Take my word, you will be heading to South Street just to go to this store once you see it for yourself.
