The absolute best steak sandwiches in Philly! I don't even eat red meat and I make an exception for Steve's Prince of Steaks. The ambiance is nil, there is just a counter along one wall to sit. It's really just an extension of a row house basement, but the food is fantastic. You can get your steaks with Wiz (cheese wiz) and fried onions, my personal favorite is a pizza steak with spicy fries. This is one of the trifecta of good comfort food in the Northeast (Gearo's for Pizza and Rib Rack for wings are the others).

I am really not a big fan of Steve's Prince of Steaks near Roosevelt Mall. I mean their cheesesteaks are ok, but there are a lot of other places in the area that are a great deal better. I've found that the steaks are usually greasy, not something that I enjoy. The shop is small and often crowded, and the service is not the best either. There have been quite a few times when they have messed up my order, so make sure to check out what they give you.

Not my favorate place for a steak sandwich. I find them to be too greasy and too much roll, to litte meat. There are better places in the area, but good place to go when everything else is closed.
The service is very fast and the steaks are cooked to order. The cheeses on the steaks are good. Would rate higher if more meat, and no grease. Like sauce and peppers for steaks also. Have a friend who loves them.
