I stayed at this hotel for the weekend. I booked the Girls Night Out Package which included breakfast and a spa treatment. That was the best money that I've ever spent. There was an error when we checked in and honestly, I think it was my mistake. But they took care of immediately took care of it and gave us coupons for dinner. The room was immaculate and it was nostalgic to be in the old PSFS bank turned hotel. (That was my first bank when I was little)The breakfast (thank goodness it was free) was petite, delicious but very small. We had to order waffles with a side of eggs and a side of bacon. So it wasn't free in the end but still good.
And the spa treatment ... ahhh, magnificent. I'm definitely going to book another weekend like this.

My son and I stayed here during a trip to Philadelphia Spring 2007. We enjoyed the view we had of the city and of the river. What a spectacular sight at night. It was within walking distance of the downtown and historic district attractions and right near to subway as well. The hotel is right across from the Reading Terminal Market where you can sit down and have breakfast or pick up some food to take back to the room. The Hard Rock is right across the street. Nice Art Deco decor.

I was delighted to stay at the Loew's Philadelphia. It is very centrally located. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. The lobby and hallways and elevators feature art deco motifs. This is an old bank and business building renovated into a hotel. This place is mostly for business, but would be good for a romantic getaway if you have other reasons to be in Philadelphia. All of the staff are very gracious. I recommend this place!

We stayed here 4-20-4-22 to enjoy the King Tut Exhibit. The staff was friendly and responsive, and switched our room after our neighbors had LOUD "fun" every 2 hours and we got no sleep the first night. As another reviewer mentioned booking through 3rd party sites, does not carry over your frequent stay info (we booked via gophila for the "Philly's more fun when you sleep over", so our preferences were not in the room upon arrival. This needs to be fixed, and the front desk staff apologized. The second room was clearly used by a smoker, but we were told we were being switched to a non-smoking room. We had dinner at Sole Food the second night, and the service was good overall, although our waiter took quite a long time to come back and take our cc, and the food was very tasty. ( I had Filet Mignon, and the chocolate sampler as a dessert). I would give them a second try, mostly for their accommodation.
Pros: Cool decor, accommodating staff

My boyfriend and I stayed at Loews on NYE 2006. When we checked in we were told there were no king bed rooms left because we "booked through a 3rd party". I asked to speak to the manager and while we were waiting we overheard 2 guests checking in and both received king bed rooms! When the manager arrived, she also lied to us and told us they were fresh out of king bed rooms. I told her I just overheard 2 guests get king size rooms and then she "just remembered" they did have a "few" left and was able to find us one out of the kindness of her heart. Upon checking into the room, it was clean, but very small. I was not impressed and will never return to stay at Loews since it is not worth the money or aggravation. If you book a stay here, use the Loews website or you'll get the shaft. Apparently they frown upon booking through a 3rd party.
Pros: Clean, good bar
Cons: Front desk is rude and they lie, parking was a whopping $32 for 1 night

My family had a reunion at this hotel. A few of us, including me, are from Philadelphia. The others arrived from all over the country, as far away as Anchorage, Alaska. we stayed at this hotel for a few days. i loved it. Our room had a great view of the city skyline. Our room was really big and it had two televisions, including a flat screen. My brother even brought along his XBOX and played it. Staying at this hotel was fun, and you would enjoy yourselof if you stayed here too.
PROS: Resturants on site, nice rooms, close to tourtist destinations

Loews Philadelphia was a nice hotel. Most of the staff here were friendly and courteous. Our room was well decorated and had good furniture. However, the room wasn't as big as I had hoped it would be. The pool here was great. This hotel is suprisingly family-friendly. Kind of overpriced though.

we got bumped from another local hotel on a friday night and ended up with a free room at the loews. it is a boutique hotel, but it was extremely clean and the standard room was large.
