A very expensive hotel, but worth every penny if you are looking for that luxury experience in a hotel. It is very centrally located on the Ben Franklin Parkway, walking distance to City Hall and the Art Museum. The hotel is very well appointed with doormen to hold the doors open for you, complimentary hot beverages in the lobby during the cold months and vice versa in the summer. The staff live up to the expectations of a 5 star establishement, the restaurants are spectacular as are the rooms!

Restorante Panorama has a great selection of wines; the Italian food is average and overpriced. They have over 120 wines by the glass, and their "specialty" is wine flights (1.5 oz of 5 types of wine). Our server was knowledgeable and helpful about the wine. The location is fabulous, but the service was slow. It took us over 2 hours to eat dinner; we did not order appitizers, salads, soup, or dessert (so just one course). Fun place to dine, especially for budding wine lovers!

The Latham is in a good location, right on 17th street close to theaters, restaurants, and Rittenhouse Square. The rooms are nice and it is not as pricey as some of the other hotels right on Rittenhouse. We had a great weekend at the Latham, the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is terrific. Good restaurants are in the vicinity. The decor is nice and our room was well appointed. I had some problems with the A/C in our room though. If you come on a car, you will have some problems with parking. The staff here is friendly and helpful. I will return.

I recently attended a wedding at the Rittenhouse Hotel, and I found it to be absolutely beautiful! The service by valet people, doormen, customer service, and wait staff was truly excellent. It was easily accessed by wheelchair. The dining and event facilities were beautiful, as well as the food. The guest rooms were nicely furnished and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, service, and beauty. It does come with a high price tag!

This is a quaint little bed and breakfast on 4th and Bainbridge street, which is one block south of South street. The building itself dates back 200 years. Each room is unique in both layout and furniture. Both times I've stayed there the rooms had their own bathrooms, but I believe there are some rooms that use a shared bathroom. The owners are pretty nice and informative about the city. The breakfast was hearty and included oatmeal with fresh berries. The price is pretty good compared with other B&Bs 2-3 blocks to the north. I say the location is not the best because South Street itself is a rough around the edges strip of bars, tattoo parlors, and lingerie shops that most likely would not appeal to those staying in a B&B. That said I actually like the location.
The owners do a wine and cheese session in the afternoon too.

Can't beat the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia for that five star treatment and ambiance. The rooms are very pricey, and sometimes on the small side, however the atmosphere and building is phenominal. Even if, like most of us, you cant pony up the funds for a few nights here, stop in and stroll the massive lobby, or have a drink in the the Vault Cigar Bar, this building was an old old bank from way back when and sitll maintains that character!

This Sheraton is located on the waterfront and is within walking distance to some great restaurants and the historic district. I found the staff, especially the concierge, to be extremely helpful, accomodating and friendly. The prices are reasonable when you consider the location and service. They also offer valet parking service.
